LOVE THESE!
These were the only shelf supports that would fit the holes in the cabinets in our new home! Not only that, they are long enough to provide good support and they look great doing it!

Best adjustable shelf system
I have used these on several projects in recent years. Used with Rockler's shelf pin jig and special spring-loaded drills you can't beat this system. Once set up you can drill a couple hundred evenly spaced hold in a few minutes.

Solid and functional
Pins worked great for shelves in a custom china cabinet. Nice shug fit into a 3/16" hole. Used pin as is for a wood shelf and slid a piece of 9/16" long, clear tubing over pin for support of 1/4" glass shelves. All worked and look great.

I wanted to use them with the pin sleeves. Forget it. The fit stinks. However, I drilled holes that fit these very closely and I'm hoping that will work.

This is the size of the drill I have.

When building cabinets or anything with shelves I use a Router to make small holes to hide the supports. It also makes the shelf fit more snug.

art both ends 5mm?
JR C on Nov 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. One end is 5mm and that goes in the drill hole. The rest of the pin has a larger circumference on which the shelf rests. So they’re not reversible.
