Snap-Closing Semi-Concealed Hinges - For 1/4" Overlay Doors (#5)

These hinges rest in a simple-to-cut groove and stay almost completely hidden from view, helping preserve the natural look of a wide variety of cabinetry, boxes, furniture and more. The spring-action, snap-closing mechanism utilizes exclusive double nylon washers for smooth open-and-closing action. This unique design ensures tightly closed doors, while included cork stoppers guarantee quiet and gentle operation. These solid steel hinges mount easily to either frameless or face-frame cabinets and are available in beautiful finishes for 1/4" overlay doors. Also commonly known as Youngdale hinges.

Note: Installation requires cutting an arced slot 1/4" wide in the cabinet door for the hinge to rest in. For overlay door hinges, the slot should be cut 1/2" deep at its deepest point and about 1-7/8" long using a table saw or dado set no more than 8" in diameter.
