Bloodwood can vary in color from a deep red to a lighter rusty shade. It will darken over time, and paired with the appropriate finish, can achieve a rich crimson color. Due to its hardness it takes a fantastic polish. Turns well on the lathe, though its hardness can occasionally cause it to be brittle.
