Take a close look at the edge of this carbide insert and you'll realize it's not actually square. Instead, each of its four edges is slightly crowned with a 2'' radius. This subtle change makes the cutter excellent for smoothing cuts. Use it with the corresponding
Rockler Mini Ergonomic Carbide Turning Tool (#49804, sold separately) or with the square radius tool included in our
3-Piece Pen Turning Set (#47600, sold separately). No sharpening required — just rotate to a new edge when the previous edge gets dull, and replace the cutter when needed.
