Time to replace
I’ve used the mini cutter now for a few months and find it a very useful tool. I’ve sharpened the carbide on a diamond stone a number of times so felt I sholuld have a replacement cutter available.

Where can I get a new screw?
BEST ANSWER: Not sure where you could find a machine screw to told the cutter to the tool. I do know it is a 4.0 x 0.70 metric countersunk screw approx. 1/4 long. It also has a T15 Torx head. I believe the countersink is a 90 degree but cannot confirm. That taper is critical to holding the bit securely to the tool. Maybe Rockler has the exact specs or replacements?
Hope this helps.
how long do the cutters last?
A shopper on May 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This isn't an easy question to answer. It's almost like the old riddle, "How long is a piece of string?"
Answer: Twice as long as half as much.
Not at all helpful, I know, but it depends on the wood you are cutting, whether it's easy or difficult to turn, how long or short or infrequent your turning sessions are and whether or not you remember to turn them a bit when you find the cuts aren't going smoothly enough. Use a set until the wood just isn't responding the way it should, then replace the blade.
Hope that helped. Too many variables to get specific.
how do I know if I need an R2 or R1?
Guy S on Jul 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The R1 has a circular profile. The R2 is a rounded square. If one of these fits your tool the other will also, but they are used for different cutting.
What is the diameter? Will it fit the Hunter Hercules chisel?
C D on Aug 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The diameter is .4525 it is .0725 thick and the hole in the center is .1725.
