Great product, but take your time to install correctly.
This lock works very well, installation is not difficult but take your time with the alignment and set up and all will work flawlessly. I have these in various positions, including laying flat under custom file drawers, side ways and above. I purchased 12 locks all together for two locations, installation is 5 years old with no issues.
I replace batteries every year but I also installed the 9 volt back up wire and loops in both locations, just in case.

Ultimate Child Lock - Locking System
We have a child with an eating disorder and we could not keep her out of the cupboards. We tried a variety of child locks and then we met Rockler and the StealthLock Keyless Cabinet Locking System. We have installed one for each food cupboard. My daughter has tried just about everything to get in and cannot. This and having the ability to lock or unlock multiple cupboards with one control pad is ideal for ease of use and control.

Next generation of locks.
Just installed this lock on a cabinet drawer. It fits neatly in the area of the drawer guide. The installation guide makes positioning very easy. Programming was very easy also. I will use these locks again.

Close but No Cigar
Basic instructions did not mention that the closing door had to completely overlap the side wall. The offset resulted in several misguided placements and no locking success. Owing to multiple holes I will be replacing the closing door so that the locking door will completely overlap the side closet wall. Internet instructions were not clear regarding the need for complete overlap.

Doesn't Work.
I ordered with high hopes, but the unit was not up to expectations, at all. The construction quality was poor without even a cover on the battery compartment. The programming for the keypad was almost impossible. Spent over an hour trying to get unit to work. At best, worked intermittently. Remote was suppose to work within 15', I couldn't get it to work unless it was within 2'. After installed a week, did not work at all. Changed batteries, which by the way I had to provide, and still didn't work. Concerned it would lock and not unlock, necessitating damaging the door to which it was attached. Look for something else.

Does key pad light up to see at night?
A shopper on Apr 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: no only a small led in the corner to let you know you are activating it
I am curious, how loud is the locking device? I am considering adding these to a chest of drawers and am worried that the locking/unlocking sound will be heard and alert others nearby. Any advice or feedback from owners would be appreciated.
Joe V on Nov 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Locking action is a very slight click. NOT loud at all.
Is there a fail safe if the batteries die? I would hate to have to destroy a cabinet face because it stopped working. Also is there a low battery warning?
david l on Sep 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is not a fail safe or a low warning for the battery. I installed this lock (very easy) and had the batteries die. The drawer was stuck shut. The lock has a designed break point of 80lbs. I was able to force the drawer open. Took effort but did it require tools or damage the drawer.

There is a wire adapter that I purchased (different site I think) and installed so the lock is now both on the house electric and has batteries for a backup - same as our smoke detectors.

The lock catch was easy to replace and the lock works well again. Given I was able to force the drawer open, the lock is more of an impediment than a full security measure. Appropriate for our use, but not for some others. Hope that answer helps.
How to mount on pair of doors ?
Sunnyd1169 on Jul 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I can see only two possibilities. One is to make it so one of the doors has to open first and close last by attaching tabs or a strip to the back of one door that extends over the edge of the other and then attaching the lock to that other door. The second is to buy two locks (only one remote) and set them up with the same code used to lock/unlock the doors. The second alternative is neater but much more expensive.
I have a special needs 21 year old. Would it holdup

to a good yank?
Kathy I on Jan 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it would probably break the door front before the latch breaks. There is a relief cut in the striker designed to break if you let the battery run dead it provides a weak point to control breakage. I have had to break in to a drawer with a dead battery and it was quite difficult with a small pry bar.
Can you have 2 transmitter pads control one receiver latch?
Fred C on Jan 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Fred C,
I have had the unit for a couple of years and it works well. I only have one transmitter for the latch but since the transmitter is programmable with a specific numeric code, it seem that a second transmitter of the same make/model should work just fine as well. That has been my experience for other similar products with a numeric or pin programmable transmitter. BillJ
