Coarse and Medium pads are excellent for stripping operations and paint removal. Fine and extra fine pads are great for knocking down raised grain before the first coat of finish, and for removing "nubbies" between coats. Because they're synthetic, they're perfect for water-based finishes where steel wool would cause rust problems. Non-woven technology means they won't shed abrasive crumbs onto the finish. Best of all, they're completely washable; just rinse them out under a tap to renew the abrasive qualities.
