When used as a handrail bit, the handrail is routed on both edges to put a smooth convex contour on the top face of the handrail. If desired, use our Handrail Router Bit (91708, sold separately) to rout the finger grooves on the cheeks of the handrail. When used as a table edge bit, it routs an elegant, elongated radius. You can set it deeper, and include a small shoulder, or set it shallower for a simpler roundover look. With its high-grade carbide and sturdy 1/2" shank, the bit is well-equipped for heavy work, and will provide many years of quality results.
