Tack Cloth
I have to tell the truth that I also found out that the other box store also carry tack cloth, which is more larger and thicker, but for some high quality job that I still prefer use Rockler tack cloth.

This item can be "home made" fairly easy by an old time woodworker. There also came a time when t.p. replaced the Sears Catalog in the outhouse!

Because I am a crafter (mixed media), and when using die cuts, etc. I sometimes need a tack cloth. They are a lot more expensive at the craft stores.

Is this compatible with wax-free products like de-waxed shellac?
Jeff P on Aug 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Shellac will go over everything, and everything will go on shellac; waxed or not. I prefer de-waxed. I have even used it in between non-compatible products (sometime you can't figure out what on something you are trying to refinish), without any trouble. That's why it's the finishers best friend.
I wil be using wax free shellac as intermediate coats of finish and cannot use shellac with wax due to incompatibility with wax. Is the treatment of these tack cloths similar to wax so that I have to be careful as to types of first coats of finish?
Jeff P on Aug 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have used these with alcohol, water and varnish based finishes with no problems.
