chest lock
it worked as it should. too bad it didn't come with a paper pattern for the holes. but here in the photo is the finished use: a latch to hold a leaf for a picnic table. It was my design.

Perfect Latches
These latches are the perfect size for the keepsake box my son made and the antique finish is perfect with the distressed reclaimed wood he used. And the price can’t be beat. Definitely recommend

I used them for latches for the openings on my shoot houses
they put enough pressure one openings when closed with the weather striping to keep the cold air outside.

Sturdy construction, holds great
Not much of a learning curve with this piece. Use them to hold a door closet on a cabinet and its sturdy and looks nice as well. Comes with needed hardware.

I have not got to the point of installing them yet, but I wanted to say that I ordered online on a Sunday and the next day was Presidents day, I recieved my order on Wednesday, very good on getting the order out. Have been waiting for another order for supplies needed from another company which was ordered at the same time 21/2weeks. Now I can get to point I can use them.

Latch
Latch is good but some bent when closing. I had to fix four of these for it to work right.

Nice quality catch that works well....
Nice quality catch that works well. My only issue is it came with the wrong style screws. The catch has flat holes with no tapered recess, but came with tapered oval head screws. They should have come with round head screws. I was able to find the correct screws at the local hardware store.

We do not have any real hardware stores near where we live. The only store we have is a Home Depot and they don’t carry anything like this.

I have a large dining table that has two leafs. The table keeps sliding apart at the leaf joints, and I believe this will fix that issue.

I am looking to use these to pull and latch two pieces together tightly, will these maintain a tight pull without stretching and weakening over time?
Darren J on Apr 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Your question is difficult to answer. Not knowing what kind of stress you are putting these catches under makes it difficult. Also the movement of a wood substrate(assuming it is wood) can add to that stress. I can say they are well made and appear sturdy enough for heavy load. But that is relative to your situation.
I hope this helps, Rich
What is it made of?
joe k on Oct 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Sheet steel with antique brass plating. It is a quality catch. I have used it on several projects including a craftsman toolbox for my son. It gets used and abused and the catches have held up well. Hope this helps!
I need two catches like this about 4 times the size. Any idea where I might them?
