Turning Mandrel, 1/2'' Shoulder, #8-32 Threads

This turning mandrel features a 1/2'' diameter shoulder, making it ideal for use with some of our smaller turning kits, including our Measuring Spoon and Measuring Cup Turning Hardware Kits (#72964 and #78976, sold separately). The smooth shaft is secured in your lathe drill chuck, while the #8-32 threaded post screws into your turning kit hardware.

Turning Mandrel Details:

• Just thread blank, with insert installed, onto mandrel, bring up tailstock support and turn!
• Shoulder on mandrel matches diameter of hardware shoulder, so you get a smooth transition from handle to hardware
• Requires use of lathe drill chuck with Morse taper to fit your lathe (see GRP683_1, sold separately)—drill chuck holds the smooth shaft of the mandrel
• #8-32 x 1/2" long threaded post fits inserts from our smaller turning kits, including our Measuring Spoon and Measuring Cup Turning Hardware Kits (#72964 and #78976, sold separately)
