Does what it is supposed to
Fits as it's supposed to. So many "fittings" are iffy about fitting properly. this one does the job.

I use this to couple my ridgid "2-1/2" shopvac to my cutech jointer. I had to scrape out the ribs on the large end to accommodate the shopvac hose.

worked great on the hose end, but had to add some tape to make a snug enough fit to stay connected, even on the 4" to vacuum port adapter.

I hook my shop vac to my tools and the hose never seems to fit - mismatch of inside/outside diameter. You would do a great benefit to show the pieces necessary to connect a shop-vac hose to each of the typical different shop tools. Include more inside/outside diameter info on each of the y, elbow, coupler pieces.

BEST ANSWER: the I.D. is 2 5/16" , but there is also 4 ribes inside it
I have a Craftsman 13 gal wet/dry vac with a special male fitting on the end of the Craftsman suction hose that inserts into a 2 5/8" ID port. I am looking for an adapter fitting to allow me to connect a standard 2 1/2 " suction hose for my shop dust control system. Can anyone help?
