Also known as "Pau Ferro", Bolivian Rosewood features a deep, chocolate brown tone with hints of purple, interlaced with even darker brown or black growth lines. A dense, but easily worked species native to Central and South America, it has a scent reminiscent of Walnut. The grain varies from straight to irregular and the wood is oily to the touch.

    Bolivian Rosewood is gorgeous!
    I turned this blank for a Vertex 24k pen kit. A spectacular combination, which I love together. The grain and coloring of the Bolivian Rosewood is just beautiful.

    This wood can be good looking when finished. Some pieces have very nice grain. Seems to finish better with wood treatments and not conventional finishes
