Great product and price. An extra screw or two would be nice, I dropped one and couldn't find it.

Tiny screws
The screw for the stationary part are too small for any regular screwdriver - may be best to have an eyeglass screwdriver handy. I had to switch them out for tiny nails when helping my students build their projects.

I need a latch to connect from the top of a small box to turn and secure on the side.?
Eileen D on Apr 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If I understand your question correctly, these brass hooks should work just fine. The trick to making these work properly is the tightness of the screw that holds the hook. Obviously too tight and the hook will not move at all and too loose will cause the hook to move on it's own when you move the box on it's side and then things will open up when you don't want them to. I use a little slow drying glue on this screw so I can adjust the tightness to where I want it and then once the glue is dried, the screw will no longer loosen up when the hook is moved to open the box. Good luck.
Are these plated or solid brass?
Mark M on Oct 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The ones I purchased were plated

Regarding item Item #: 47683 (Brass Hook Catches), what is the exact WIDTH of the 'hole' member and the exact LENGTH of the 'hook' member?
