Woodworking Experience:
Exceeded my expectation to my delight.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the slide. It was like stepping out of a Yugo into a Cadillac compared to the ones from Lowe's. Nothing neg to say. It is a quality slide at a truly affordable price. I tried to send a picture but it won't let me
Happy trails........

Woodworking Experience:
We ordered in excess of 32-sets "push to open" 16" Slides. Intent was to build heavy duty drawers for my daughters home remodel, with very narrow closet, hoping to avoid drawer pulls, and utilize the Push concept to save valued inches.
we had purchased 4 used Oak Retail Display Cabinets 35"d x 35"w x 104" h. & cut them in 1/2, creating 8 cabinets. Also reduced down to 84' high, for residential use.
We built drawers 16"d x 9"h x 31 wide. 2/8, going in a 67"x103" area. balance to be used in other areas of home, once a little time evolves, to see how they work.

summary: In most cases, slides have worked well. Too early to tell, as move in just occurred, 8/12. We did encounter some difficulty with "sensitive" handling. the "click in" to lock the drawer, has faltered on 2 of 8 current drawers, with solution, open a new pack & replace existing slide. Once it's pushed back in place is a 3"x3/4"x1/4" deep plastic mechanism. Iit's "Very sensitive." It's screwed in with a "Minnie" screw, maybe 1/8" long, so flimsy, I was surprised manufacturer built this "necessary piece" with such a small screw holding it in place. At move in time, 2 or 3 have already fallen out. that is disappointing, as I'm fearing continual issues. Only time will tell.

I wish this plastic piece "were more heavy duty." It fails way to easily.

Woodworking Experience:
Will not work in an RV that moves around.
These are nice slides with the usual ball bearing mechanism that always works great.
The push-to-open part is feeble at best. Had several break and quit holding while installing them, and Rockler was great about sending replacement parts along, but before the replacement parts arrived we had to leave town with the RV. Driving out of the driveway the first drawer flew open, and in the 100 miles we drove, they all did. I had to pile stuff in front of the drawers to keep them closed.
It's a nice idea, but the execution is weak at best. The plastic parts of the catches are small and fragile, and with the jiggling of the RV the drawers open right up, usually on a corner so stuff can fly right out.

Woodworking Experience:
Good except
These slides are of good quality except for the small screws that attach the push mechanism to the slide. Two of these screws fell out during shipping.

Woodworking Experience:
in my experiance one in every 8 of them has the grey push to open device pop right off the slide.
1 in 8 have the push to open mechanism just fall right out into the drawer. It is a grey plastic rectangle that slides into a clip but then there is a screw to retain it that is so tiny and useless, it often comes striped from the factory. I have been applying epoxy glue to each screw (and its contact point on the other end). Im not sure if my glue is happy to try and hold a metal screw to a plastic box. (gorilla super glue). I did have one just drop right out into the drawer below the other day. I still have 10 more to install so im waiting till im done before i return them under warranty repair. I hope they make good on it.

Woodworking Experience:
inconsistent performance
Installing these slides is not difficult. However, the push-to-release mechanisms are not uniform in their responsiveness and operation. I will be looking for another product to provide smooth, quiet, and consistent service.

One of the rolling cabinets I've made has a work surface that pops out of the side; but I made it without a good location for a drawer pull so "push to open" sounds like the solution.

I'm building a bed frame with storage for my son. Like most boys, heâ??s rambunctious. Having anything that stick out, like handles, becomes a liability. So the push to open seems to be a great idea.

Can you pull on the drawer and not have it open until it is pushed to open?
Jeff W on Nov 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Drawer slide has a capture mechanism...must be 'pushed to open'
Do these fully open when bumped or must you pull it to open all the way? (Want to use for trash can in drawer)
Michael S on Dec 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No they only open about 1-2 inches. you have to pull the drawer the rest of the way open.
Do these guides open like a touch latch or are these just a soft close drawer guide?
Cathy M on Apr 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This slides have a push to open feature, like a touch latch. They are not a soft close.
is it a total of 1/2in or per side?
Nate C on Nov 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: One inch total, (or 1/2 per side Nate one inch, no more ,no less have fun
Can I use a 22" slide on a 30" deep drawer?
Lisa B on Oct 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You can, but you will only get the range of a 22 inch slide. The full extension slides are designed to give you access to the entire drawer. Using a 22 inch slide on a 30" deep drawer will prevent you from having full access to the back of the drawer. You'd probably be better be better off with a 28" slide.
I'm having a binding issue at about 3/4 in (closing). I found that the clearance was about 1/64" less than the required 1/2" on each side. Could this be the problem?
Timothy C M on May 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure. If 1/64 would make a difference. I also had trouble with these and noticed at the most important thing was the slides being parallel to each other. If there even off a little you would get the binding issue. I wouldn't use these again.
Will these slides work on a drawer in a vertical configuration, meaning on the top and the bottom of the drawer (mounting a pull-out spice rack)? Thanks for the help!
Dan M on Feb 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No This slide is designed to support weight along it's vertical dimension. It will eventually bend and be destroyed if it is loaded along the horizontal dimension. Similarly if the slide was installed properly and if the drawer was given a sideways force while in an open position, it would receive the same destructive bending force.
How far does the slide push the drawer open/forward?
Leali Construction L on Mar 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: after pushing the drawer in to activate it, the drawer pops out five inches on its own. you then open the drawer the rest of the way as you would do with any drawer.
For a 16" slide, do you need more than 16" inside dimension for the push- to- open to work?
Ron N on Jan 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No,the travel is in the slide
What is the actual length of the 16" guide?
Justin Z on Dec 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: hay Justin . 16" is the actual, if you use rear brackets give your self little room
Are the hold in detents adjustable along the length of the track?
Casey S on Sep 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The detents are not adjustible. You have to push the drawer about 1/4. Inch past closed. Then it latches and comes forward flush.
I plan to use these for shelves in my laundry room, can the slides be mounted under the shelf? If not do you have undermount slides that can tolerate up to 200lbs?
dmarie on Jul 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: These slides are only to be mounted on the sides of the drawers. Make sure you order the correct under counter mounts based on the weight of the drawers and contents.
what is the spacing for the mounting holes?
david w on May 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: variable; every couple of inches along the slide
Do these guides come with the rear mounting bracket for face frame cabinets? If not where do I get look to order them?
Blake L on Jul 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You can order them at The item # is 47585
