Perfect
This latch worked perfect for my application. Great quality. A little pricey.

Joined three tables
I used this to make it easy for staff to put 3 tables together quickly for larger groups to sit at one long table . This makes the table edges align perfectly . No spilled drinks no wobbly plates of food

Click Catch Works Great!
We ordered one set as a tester for our company break room tables. They work perfectly! Ordering a bunch more to finish the job. Thank you for an innovative product. They took some hunting around to find, and we did not see anything else quite like them.

Not my favorite
They are large and clunky and are extremely hard to operate at first. They do a poor job for alignment. luckily I use brass pins for that anyway.

In addition they had manufacturing burs on all edges that made it hard to fit them. Pretty much impossible to install out of the package. I had to file all the edges and give them a good waxing to make them operate as they should.

Oh, and a tip for the manufacturer: with most table tops being made out of 3/4" plywood, you may want to include screws SHORTER than 3/4", so they don't come through the other side. I was glad I tested them before using them on my table top. And the "innovation" to replace the two screws on the wider side of the buckle (as shown in the product image) with one that goes through the center isn't that great, either. It just bends the buckle and makes it harder to slide the pieces together.

Lastly, they actually look real cheap for the price. a finer "furniture grade" finish would help the appearance quite a bit and help dress up the finished piece.

For my next table top I'll figure out a different locking mechanism if I can't use actual locks.

Needed a self aligning catch that was easy to use. This piece as reviewed seems to be what we need for this custom project.

Does the click lock aspect of this hold the 2 pieces together against tension or will they easily slide apart on their own?
Michael W on Apr 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I useed these catches to connect 2 MDF tables (30"x80"x 3/4" each). They work OK for rough alignment and add some stability, but will yield when pulled apart. Granted, the MDF tables are quite heavy, so they would undoubtedly work much better in a less stressful application - - the MDF tables are large and heavy! In my application, the finished table alignment didn't need to be "spot on" each time they were reassembled.
Is this offer for two complete units, i.e.: two male and female parts?
James D on Jan 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes the pkg contains just as you as say, 2 male and 2 female parts or 2 complete sets. They worked great for my my table project.
If I was to use this for a table extension of 14”x20” with a leg at the attachment of your latch how much vertical support would it have?
Kern A on Jun 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It should give you plenty of vertical support. I’d recommend you use two click catches for the job. The extension on my table is very solid even with 20+ lbs. on it.
