buy these, not imitations
Before purchasing these, I fell for 2 other adds for latches that looked identical in the advertising photos, but had springs that were much too weak to push my cabinet doors outward, despite their relatively light weights. Some of the "cheap" knock-offs are more expensive than these, so beware. One other caution: if you use euro-style hinges, make sure you use the free-swinging type, that are relatively hard to find versus the usual spring-loaded types. These latches would open my cabinet doors with spring-loaded hinges (one set was bought for a test), but only by ~1/4" so that it would have been necessary to add hidden cutouts at the bottom of the door panels to pull them open the rest of the way.

I installed banks of double door face frame and doors for mass storage shelves. Finding both a double catch and one that was of higher quality than found at the big box retailers made two great finds.

I have a 18" x 6'8" hidden solid core closet door. Can the double magnetic latch work on a heavy door?
Will L on Jan 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I used this in the center of two cabinet doors. It worked for the two doors but they would be much lighter weight. I don't know how they would work for your application.
what is the throw on the double magnetic touch latch ... your single throw says 3/8 but i find no mention of the throw for the double?
