Dust Right® 2.5'' Tool Port

Allows you to move suction from tool to tool.
Item #
74% of 100

Move suction from tool to tool like never before! One end fits snug on any tool with a 2-1/2" dust port; the other connects tool-free to the Dust Right® Handle (which attaches to 4" hose and, ultimately, your dust collector). The Ports feature a flexible rubber boot on one side that guarantees a tight connection and allows for slight variations in the size of the tool's dust port. Dust Right® Handle (sold separately) is available individually, with the Dust Right® 4" Quick Change Shop and Tool Set (sold separately), or with the Dust Right® Floor Sweep System (sold separately).

Woodworking Experience:
Great for dust collection
I have these quick connections on all my movable machines in my shop. When I am not using a machine in my small shop I move them out of the way. But when I need one I pull it out and hook up the dust collector with these quick connects.

Can you remove the flexible hose and attach a Rockler Dust Right 2.5" Tool Port (28872) to the dust scoop? Then attach the Dust Right Handle to the 2.5" Tool Port, eliminating the flexible hose.

Dust Right® Lathe Dust Collection System
Dust Right® Lathe Dust Collection System
BEST ANSWER: I don't see why not but i wouldn't do it. You would need to keep in mind is that the lathe dust collection unit outlet and the smaller side of tool port are both hard plastic and exactly the same size. You would have to have a rubber sleeve to connect them. Then you would have the entire weight of the 4 inch on the pivot point of the dust collector thus making adjustment and repositioning of the unit on your lathe both cumbersome and more difficult. I hope this answer helps you!
What are the actual dimensions inside both sides of the adapter (inside diameter)?
