Woodworking Experience:
Very Happy
Overall very happy with the cutoffs I received. Not really sure what all the pieces are, but all pretty good sizes for much smaller woodworking projects or small glue up projects. All in all a good purchase.

Great variety of wood - I enjoyed going through the box and sorting through the mystery wood that I got. Granted, you don’t know what you’ll get, but I got some red heart, Padauk, wenge, katolax, and even some marble wood! Solid buy, would definitely buy it again!

Are the individual pieces labeled by species? I'd like to pick up this box as a sampler to see what I like and possibly order larger boards of later, and would need to be able to identify them. Thanks in advance.
Dustin P on Nov 18, 2018

Unfortunately, no the pieces are not individually labeled, while that would be nice. But most are easily identifiable, but I would be honest to say it can be a bit difficult to differentiate a few pieces.
Can these wood types be used for spoon carving?
Martha H on Jan 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I couldn't tell you, as that's not what I make. but I don't see why not - they're good hardwood, tho some pieces may be too small to carve into spoons. hope this helps.
What various hardwoods could be in box? Ie: bloodwood, purple heart, babinga, and zebra?
Talahina C on Dec 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes all the above and many others I found that if I want to do any detailed enlays or maybe make a few ink pens these are nice. Also if you want to resin it all together and make knife handles it works but other than that the pieces were too small to use.
Do you deal in or are you interested in reclaimed lumber or barn wood? .
