I was looking for a product that would improve the finish on older grandfather clocks. This is the product ! It puts a very nice shine and brings the finish back to a beautiful new look. Very happy with the Feed N Wax.

I used this product as part of a reconditioning of a piano bench and was very pleased with the results, as were the owners of the bench for whom I did the work.

Love it!!
We use tung oil as the finish on all our furniture. This is great as a polish and conditioner to use every 6 months on these pieces. If used right it brings out the sheen and does a beautiful job. We have built all our furniture out of cherry, walnut and pecan so we love the look without a varnish finish.

brought back to life
We were able to bring the baseboards and crown molding in a bedroom we were refurbishing back to life without having to sand and re-stain. They turned out great!

is this product food grade. Thinking of putting it on a new wood cutting board?
Lynn Y on Jul 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: After reading the safety data sheet and putting 2 and 2 together - meaning that Howard has never recommended this product for use as a cutting board treatment - I'd say that it should not be used for this purpose. You know that if it was good we would have been given that information readily. Use any recommended butcher block oil.
Can you use it over lacquer finish?
Arlene N on Dec 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I do not see why not.....if it can go over water base finishes then lacquer shouldn't be a problem.
I would not hesitate. It is more of a conditioner for the wood than a polish.
Can you use Howard’s feed and wax on painted kitchen cabinets?

Can you use Howard's feed-n- wax on old baskets?
Loni w on Mar 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I use it on every item or refinish. It brings out the beauty and maintains it .
Can put a clear coat over the feed-n-wax on unfinished wood?
Wade A on Dec 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have been using the feed-n-wax for over six years. I use it two ways. Applying the feed-n-wax to bare wood and when dry, polish for a gloss appearance. And I also apply the feed-n-wax and when dry, apply 1 - 3 coats of wipe-on-gel poly. After all of these years I have not experienced any problems when applying this product. Get it, try it, you will not be dissatisfied!
I am refinishing an old pine table. When aplying stain, I got a few streaks where the stain would not bite. Someone recomended aplying wood conditioner on the "tricky spots", then the stain over. Does that work??
Tone V on Dec 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, I don't think it will work. Stains are tough. You will be better off sanding and reapplying the stain. I would recommend using a wood condishoner first to prevent the stealing.
Can it be used on bare wood? Specifically a soft wood, Buckeye?
JeanAnnette S on Feb 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can be used on your wood or any wood since it is wax. But it provides the least protection. If the wood you plan to wax is not going to get much use and is not cleaned with de-greasers it should work fine.
Can I use this on my table top that has been stained and sealed with Minwax Polyurethane, clear gloss?
