This is the insert for Router Plate B so it can take Porter-Cable style bushings. I assume that it also adapts the router table for the Leigh RTJ400 e-Bushing.

My router plate doesn’t have any way to attach guide bushings. I expect this to fit the guide bushing set well.

Rockler Customer Care suggested this particular insert plate to accommodate my Rockler router table which requires a 4" OD insert plate and a Leigh Jig Guide Bushing which requires a 1-3/8" opening. I'm hopeful he is correct although the 29142 product description/specifications/picture are confusing.

The Rockler pro plate, even though it comes with a standard 1-1/4" plate, it is not made for bushings. This allows me to use my bushing set.

I chose this because I have router plates that are larger, but none that are smaller and closer to the bit. Getting one closer to the bit is safer and supports the piece your milling better.

The screw holes in this insert are tapered, so no adjustment to its position in the plate is possible without changing the holes. How well are bits centered in bushings attached to this insert?

BEST ANSWER: Using my porter cable router, I have not had a problem with the centering of bits in the bushings added to this insert.

BEST ANSWER: It is "thinish" plastic but worked well enough...I have since moved to the Incra router lift/plate that uses metal plates that adhere to the router plate with magnet tabs. MUCH better, stronger, easier/quicker to work with. Frank In Eugene, OR

BEST ANSWER: This is a router plate insert, it fits into a Rockler router plate and holds a guide bushing used for template work or sign making.

This insert fits into Rockler Router Plate A (Item 54820) or Plate B (Item 50007).
Will these plate inserts fit a Benchdog Pro router lift ?

BEST ANSWER: Hi Gary my names Napoleon to 1 1/4 rockler plate fits on a porter cable router I'm not sure if the Ryobi will fit to their 11/4plate
The best thing I suggest to you is bring your plate from the router to rockler and make sure the screw holes match with the 1 1/4plate

I have an old Craftsman router (model 315 175060) and I'm wondering if this plate fits this router. It says above standard Craftsman routers, but what models are those?
