A trio of anti-corrosion layers protect these screws from rust as they hold your deckboards in place. Recommended for use with ACQ treated lumber. Designed for the Kreg® Deck Jig System (#36613, sold separately) with self-tapping tips and KTX squaredrive heads.

Great price
I really like the Kreg deck system no visible screws to collect water just a cleaner look. The screws are ok at this price but are overpriced at regular cost.

Worked great
Our carpenter just built our front porch and deck and they worked great. He didn't have any issues with them. They held fast and no stripping.

Best deck screws!
These screws worked great on my Tigerwood deck project. They hold well and leave little evidence of being there even when face screwed.

These work fine. My only disappointment was that I paid $39.95 at the Rockler store in Minnetonka for a box and then when I needed an additional box a week or so later the charge was $49.95 at the Rockler Maplewood store.

decks AND railing
I have installed a few decks with these screws using the Kreg deck jig. Works fine and leaves a deck surface without screws or nails. Please note: when you use the jig at 45 degrees at the end of a deck board, finish drilling through so that you don't split the end of the board. I also use these screws, along with the stepped drill bit, to attach handrails to the posts.

Kreg Deck screws
Check out the 10 x 12 deck built using the Kreg Deck screws. The deck boards are splinter free and will last longer due to the new Deck Screws installed on the side of the decking using the Kreg deck jig.
installation is simple and consistently accurate.

I heard that it is not recommended to use this jig on treated 5/4 pine decking. Is that true and why?
BEST ANSWER: I did a 5/4 treated pine deck last year. Mostly it's worked well, but there are a few places where the shrinking wood has caused a split near the screw. Overall, I'm please with the result - despite the wood shrinking and a few splits, I still think it looks better than deck screws through the surface of the boards.

Which screws should be used with TREX? Stainless Steel or the Protec Kote??? Is weather an issue? I'm in Florida.
BEST ANSWER: Hello,
The Protec-Kote has three protective coatings. They most definitely will hold up to the weather.
However, we not recommend using our screw with grooved decking simply because of the void and less material for the screws to fasten into. If you are using Trex decking that are not grooved, then yes our screws will hold up quite well.
Last but not least, Stainless Steel are still the top screws for outdoors.
Thanks!

I have 2x6 redwood for decking. Will the kreg jig work for this width boards? Can you just use longer screws?
BEST ANSWER: The jig will work. You will need longer screws than what come with the jig - those are for 1" decking and you have 1½" decking (I assume you quoting 2 x 6 as nominal). You may need to change the spacing when you come to the end of each board. With 1" decking you put the end of the jig at the end of the board for the "toenail" screw. For a thicker board you may need to back away slightly so the screw does not break out the end of the board before hitting the stud.
