Magnifying LED Work Light

When it comes time to assemble that laser-cut inlay pen, marquetry project or put the finishing details on your carvings, this lighted magnifier makes a valuable sidekick. An essential tool for precision assemblies and small crafts, it's also helpful for those of us whose eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be. This magnifier features a bright, 60-LED light and a 3 diopter magnifying glass (0.75X power). The 18'' flexible gooseneck allows you to easily adjust it with a single hand, and once adjusted, both your hands are free to perform your task. Clamps easily to most work surfaces with the included mounting clamp.

Versatile and easy to set up
I originally purchased this for my scrollsaw, but also use it at a workbench. What I like best is with a little adjusting, I can use it with or without reading glasses. Very helpful! Very happy with my purchase.

Buy This!!!
I was skeptical. I’ve tried magnifying work lamps before. The lens were crummy. Not this one! The view is wide and sharp. The goose neck and clamp are HEAVY DUTY! I am more than 100% satisfied. This is a remarkable, must have Rockler product!

LED Work Light
I’ve only used this lamp/magnifier for several weeks, but so far it has exceeded my expectations. The light is perfect in intensity/color and the magnification level/focus is excellent for working on very small parts. The lens size is very generous and bigger than all others I looked at. I highly recommend this product.

I tie flys, and have two friends who have these same magnifying lights on their fly tying bench. I was jealous over how nice they are to work with, easy to see the flys tied on smaller hooks, great for the close fine work on small dry flys. So I had to get one for me too.

Reviews indicate it is exceptional quality - I went through several pages of reviews and stopped reading before coming across any user problems. Really like the larger size magnifying glass. Was considering something a little stronger and with a base option but will see how this works. Seems to be the right magnification for the user (no major eye issues except middle age) and the use.

What is the kelvin color temperature of this Magnifying LED Work Light?
Dave P on Nov 12, 2015
Where was light manufactured?
Alan H on Jun 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It doesn't have a manufacturer name on the light but it is UL (Underwriter Lab) certified and is an excellent magnifier. If it was manufactured in China, they must have improved the quality of their products. I was so happy with the light that I purchase a second one for my wife and retired my old magnifier. Generally I have found that Rockler has good quality products and that is why I buy from them.
Is this magnifier lens made of plastic or is it made of glass ?
Clydemegawatt on Oct 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: it is glass, I am fully satisfied with product quality, was skeptical but surprised upon delivery.
How many lumens?
Jeremy I on Dec 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Neither the box nor the brief literature specifies lumens. Just says 60 LEDs providing 5 watts. I can say that it is quite bright in the working area directly under the lens. Despite my aging eyes, I delayed buying a lighted magnifier for a few years because I couldn't find a satisfactory one for a reasonable price. I am very satisfied with this one.
What source(s) of electricity does it accept?
popeye on Feb 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It has the standard US 110-120 volt A/C plug. Not sure if an appropriate adapter/converter for other power standards (e.g., European) might work. It is LED lights and probably pretty low current draw.
Can this item be screwed to a table top?
Chuck on Apr 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Certainly! Drill 2-3 holes in its metal base..... or since the goose neck ends in a round 1/2" diameter pin that fits into a hole in the base w/ set screw to control rotation. you can make any base you want and drill the proper size hole, ie a weighted base that sits on table/bench top.
not clear why you would want to change the way this works. Has well made metal base, set screw to control rotation. As made it attaches solidly to any table/bench top from 1/2 or 3/4 " up to 2 1/2 ", can be easily moved and reattached. why would you need/want to change?
Is this a corded 110 volt light or battery?
joe m on Mar 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Standard 110-120 volt US plug. Works well for my 70-year-old eyes.
what is the depth of the clamp ?
james w on Nov 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The clamp will fit a maximum table thickness of about 2 1/2 inches. I have it mounted on my workbench. The clamp separates from the bottom of the gooseneck, so the device could be mounted in a hole drilled in a table/bench and still swivel. For a crude mobile base, I just drilled a hole near one end of an 18" length of 2x4, stuck the gooseneck pin in the board and made sure the light/magnifier remained centered over the other end of the board. This seems much better than various magnifiers I saw at office supply stores, especially at the sale price.
Is this product suitable for Australia with 240v 50hz mains A/C power?
A shopper on Jun 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not unless you use an adaptor.
Does this product have a large wall-wart type plugin?
A shopper on May 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It is a standard grounded plug.
Are the lights replaceable?
Thomas P on Mar 2, 2019
