I use a single magswitch to create a detachable joint between two wood objects. The magswitch created a very strong force of attachment and I incorporated simple methods of preventing failure from rotation and twisting. I'm very pleased with the magnswitch.

Magnets are great; item description could be clearer
I bought two 95 mag switches expecting that they would fit the universal mag base which I bought so time ago. The 95's are considerably smaller and don't work with the universal base. The 150's do work. So when you buy, pay close attention to to the size difference between the 150 and the 95 sized magnets and the accessories you plan to use with each sized magnet.

Magswitch
I've had problems in the past of repeatable thin strip cuts on my table saw. Problem solved using the magswitches. Now once I've determined the thickness and set the jig up, repeatable cuts are fast and accurate.

Mag-switches are a must for every shop.
I built four jigs and used the same two mag-switches for each of them. I drill the mounting holes but don't attach them. They are a great tool. I built a router template to make perfect fitting holes, works great.

USED 2 OF THESE TO ATTACH MY TABLE SAW EXTENSION TABLE TO THE TABLE SAW RAILS. THEY HAVE TREMENDOUS HOLDING POWER. WHEN I'M FINISHED USING THE THE EXTENTION TABLE, I TURN OFF THE MAGNETS, REMOVE THE EXTENSION TABLE FROM THE TABLE SAW RAILS, AND LEAN IT AGAINST THE WALL. FOR STORAGE.

BEST ANSWER: Hi Larry,

I just went down to my shop and measured. Looks like 1 9/16" on my calipers for a round hole. I have mine slipped into a 1 7/32 " straight slot. I'm just using it as a reference jig for now...................Keith
