The term ''Masur Birch'' refers to a unique and striking grain figure most often seen in Downy and Silver Birch. The figure has qualities of many other figured woods, included spalting, birdseye, flamed or quilted maple and burl. The color is a light cream with dark, nut-brown patterning. It turns like a dream as it is quite solid, and polishes well.
