Micro Mesh 3'' x 6'' sheet

Rating:
100% of 100

Micro Mesh is used to polish surfaces back to clarity or a high gloss. Micro Mesh (Grades 1500 through 12000) was originally designed to polish most hard plastics, fiberglass, epoxy, gel-coat, raw and finished wood, cultured marble, sold surface, painted surfaces, gold, silver, etc. Micro Mesh is not an aggressive stock remover. Common sandpaper products are required for the removal of deep scratches prior to using Micro Mesh to polish the surface back to clarity or a high gloss. Use wet or dry with either water or water/detergent as a lubricant. You may also use mineral oil, vegetable oil, lemon oil, etc but DO NOT use anything containing solvent as this will delaminate the Micro Mesh.

I belong to a woodturner's club and I keep encouraging them to try the Micro Mesh. I start with 2400 after the first coat of finish. You're not sanding, just buffing. Then I go increasingly finer after each coat finishing with about 8000. It will make the finish feel like glass.

Excellent size for polishing spindles to a mirror finish using my lathe, thanks to your available sizes up to 12000 grit. Works best on very dense hardwoods.

Prefect!
It's just what my husband wanted. He hasn't been able to find this particular grade in any store. Very happy with this product. Thank you.

Excellent shine on a CA finish
Quickest way to put an excellent shine on a CA finish. I use these with every wooden pen or other small project where a CA finish is applicable.

Im trying to remove tiny scratches on a piece of High Gloss Stainless Steel. Even 2000 grit sandpaper scratches the surface. What should I use to get the scratches out and create a High Gloss Shine? Larry

BEST ANSWER: I use Jewelers Rouge after my final grit emery paper. You can read about it and buy different grades at Tandy Leather Factory. I use emery paper with 3 in 1 oil then use white Jewelers Rouge to sharpen my wood working chisels, gouges, plane irons and such. Just remember to clean the grit from your piece before moving to the next finer one.
