Rec'd as ordered
After installing I realized that for the size of the cabinet doors I should have selected larger hinges. My mistake.

look good and easy to install
I like these hinges. Needing no mortise, they are very quick to install. They are quality hinges that will last a long time. I used them often when building blanket boxes.

Bronze Finial hinge 4-1/4 size.
I purchased 8 of these for a large and heavy cabinet door. They look great and were easy to install. I would not hesitate to order more if the need arises.

good quality for the money
Heard some negatives on the screws, follow the advice of one of the other reviewers, drill the correct pilot hole, use the correct phillips head driver, and one other thing, when using in hard wood always wax your screw before driving it.

How do you measure non-mortise hinges?
Building a China cabinet. Doors will be 1/2 inch overlay. Can I mount these to the cabinet face and the back of the door?
How thick is this hinge?
BEST ANSWER: Each leaf is probably about 3/32" when folded. It leaves a space therefore of about 3/32" between the pieces of wood. They lay flat. I use them a lot in clock cases. I can measure though.

what size screws come with this hinge (specifically the 2 1/2" statuary bronze)? I want to order the correct self centering drill bit.
Max door weight for 90437 ?
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure as I used it for a lift door on a chest, about 5 pounds. if I recall it came with half inch screws which I upgraded to 3/4 steel. I am willing to bet it is the screw more than the hinge that will be your limiter.

Max door weighted ?
BEST ANSWER: Can't give a max weight for the hinges but I used four of them on a gun cabinet door approximately 18"x72" with 3 glass panels in it. It's not a heavy door -- probably 20 lbs max but have had no problems with them. I think they look good on the cabinet. They are easy to install and I think you will like them.
