Woodworking Experience:
Patriot Arch Style Raised Panel Cabinet Door
Received 2 arch style doors. The joints are tight, the inner panel exhibits no movement and the doors accept paint well.

I have an opening of 30x17.5 with 1/2 inch overlay. How do I get two doors for this opening? Thank you.
Omar S on Aug 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If the width is 30 and the height is 17 1/2 then order two doors that are 15 7/16 X 18 1/2. That will leave an 1/8 of an inch between the doors when they are closed.
It says shipping only in the 48 states, but then says that you will ship to other countries. So can I get shipping to Hawaii??

What wood species is the Patriot Arch Style Raised Panel Cabinet Door shown in?
Hank B on Sep 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hank B, it appears to be Maple. All the doors I have ordered have been great.
What wood species is best for painting?
Vince A on Aug 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The maple has a tight smooth grain if you are trying for a smooth finish, the oak would have an open grain and that would show through. In some instances the grain is desirable as in an "Ebonized" finish where the finish is not 100% opaque and you wish for the grain to stand out. If you want a gloss finish I would stick to the maple, use a sanding sealer and series of increasingly fine grit paper to get the best painted finish. Clean the surfaces with tack cloth to remove residue before spraying thin successive coats. Follow paint manufacturers suggestions when applying finish.
