Peel-and-Stick Edge Banding – 25' Rolls

The easiest possible way to install solid wood edge banding – just peel and stick! No need for an expensive edge bander; bandings are impregnated with a premium 3M peel-and-stick adhesive that creates a permanent bond. The bandings are also pre-sanded and readily accept stains and finishes. Suitable for straight-line edges as well as contours. Made from premium veneers.

Features:
  • PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) Edge Banding allows you to apply edging without expensive edge banders or other tools
  • Wood edgings are made of solid hardwood veneer
  • Available in a variety of wood species – some of them difficult to find in edge bandings
(1) Peel-and-Stick Edge Banding – 25' Roll

Lots of uses
I use them not only for edging plywood, but also for shimming door hinges. I slit them up the middle and install them in the jamb mortice to move the door away from the hinge jamb.

Straightforward
Easier to use than those you must heat and, from my experience, less likely to show "bubbles." Edged cherry plywood shelving several months ago and edging has stood up well.

I have used the iron-on banding before, and this looks like an easier product than that. I melted the plastic on my iron using the iron-on stuff, so this will be easier on my iron, as well.
Katrina S on Jun 20, 2018
Prior experience with hot melt glue type edge banding had a number of problems. Trying "peel and stick" to see if it is better.

I chose peel-and-stick over iron-on because I read that the latter had a tendency to slip upon application. I hope that the peel-and-stick does not loosen over time.

Does this need to be ironed to activate the adhesive?
Matthew D on Apr 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Just used a roll for contrasting edge of my bar top. Its self adhesive, (moist) no need to iron -- but be sure you place it exactly since its not adjustable / movable after / during installation. Good product for me.

can this product be painted?
A shopper on Sep 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Used the roll for decorative band between rounded edges of my wet bar. Good fit ez install. It is unfinished but smooth and quickly absorbs color / sealant . I applied verathane-clear to seal and it darkens the color a couple shades. It should be able to take paint, I don't think it will affect the adhesive on the back, be sure to apply appropriate primer first.

What are the widths of your banding products?

I need 1/2" banding, can this be pre trimmed and then applied?
mespinar on Apr 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I trimmed a piece easily with sharp scissors - its a bit like thin stiff cardboard, not difficult to do,
Can this be applied over stainless steel furniture legs?
Lynne M on May 6, 2017
Is the white oak self adhesive edge banding stainable?
Mike F on May 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I used the red oak but surely they have the same characteristics. And, yes it stained just like the rest of the oak I was working with. Two suggestions: Don't try to bend it on too tight of a radius (like less than 6" and make the surface you are sticking it to as smooth as possible.
Can this be used on a 45 degree angle?
roser on Dec 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Probably not. The cut face of 3/4" plywood at 45 degrees is just over an inch wide. So 13/16" edge banding won't work. Also, the trimming tool for edge banding is intended for a square cut, so trimming banding set at 45 degrees would be slow and meticulous. I've built a number of plywood projects using Baltic Birch plywood, and I leave the edges exposed. It looks pretty good. You could try that.
How tight of a radius can the veneer trim bend?
Superdave on Sep 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It will not bend 90 degrees without cracking. I wrapped a rounded corner. I started with the corner, allowed a little extra length on each end and cut my ends when I got closer. I did use cement in addition to the self stick. I used the product as edge banding on a counter. Best of luck! I was satisfied with the product.
What is the thickness of the edging? Is it 1/16" or 1/8"?
Jason J on Mar 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Just eyeballing some with a ruler (not calipers) it's about 1/32" thick... the product details say 3/97" thick (.7874 MM), which would be roughly 1/32"... I guess maybe the PSA backing adds the hair's width extra thickness.
