Pro Hunter Knife Hardware Kit

For field dressing and skinning larger game, the Pro Hunter offers the size and sturdiness that you require. With its hefty 4-1/4'' fixed blade and slight drop point shape, it will power through the toughest tasks without the slightest complaint. It is fashioned from 440C stainless steel with a polished finger guard that enhances control, and prevents the hand from sliding forward onto the blade during heavy cutting. The aluminum pins include brass ferrules that encircle the perimeters of the pins for a subtle decorative touch. A rugged leather sheath is also included. Add the scales of your choice to make a hunting knife like no other.

(1) Pro Hunter Knife Blade (scales sold separately)
(2) Aluminum Pins
(4) Brass Ferrules
(1) Leather Sheath

I was looking for a project, and this kit offered the most pleasing knife. A good looking blade, and even its own sheath, complete with the mounting hardware for its handle.

Does the sheath have a mechanism for attaching to a belt? Does the sheath have a way of securing the knife in the sheath?

I have horns from a bull elk. I want to make two hunting knives. Where do I start?
Phil B on Aug 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I used a deer horn and it turn out well, Pick the portion of the horn you want to use, there was a small abnormal point that I included and it lined up with the guard. Once you select the section of horn you want cut on a band saw. I also selected the width of the antler to match the width of the tang. epoxy in place. keep in mind center of horn hollow so you do not want this showing.
