Use this high-carbon spring steel cabinet scraper to remove mill marks from jointing or planing, tame figured grain and flatten mismatched joints. It's also handy for shearing away dried glue. When sharpened and honed correctly, a cabinet scraper's tiny hooked edge will produce wispy shavings instead of fine dust. While the scraper must be sharpened and burnished before use, that's quick and easy to do—even if you've never sharpened a scraper before—with Rockler's 3-in-1 Cabinet Scraper Sharpening Tool (#66275, sold separately).
