I'm impressed!!!
Very good quality and sturdy. The casters I put on the stand allows me to move my equipment wherever I need it in the shop. If you need a high quality stand, this is the one to buy.

Easy Peasy Lemon squeesy
Needed a multipurpose mobile workbench. I built a new desk so I took my old desktop which was 1 1/8 inch thick European Beech, added dog holes and T-Track to build a cheap functional top. I put heavy duty locking rolling casters on it. The T-Track is 36" because I bought some extra previously when it was on-sale, so it's what I had available. It is sturdy as a rock. I used the stand without a top to hold the parts of my new desk whilst ifinished them, them used it to hold the old desktop whilst I converted it to a workbench surface... So even without a top, it was a useful mobile stand in my shop...
Used an old solid wood desktop and added dog holes and 4 pieces of Rockler 36 inch T-Track with it.

I recommend this product. It is easy to assemble and sturdy. I mounted a 24”x32” cast iron router too that weighs ~100lbs plus router, lift and dust box. Rock solid

Strong and durable
This thing is well made and strong. The changes I made is putting plywood on top and bottom and instead of legs I installed wheels.

Longarm Quilting Frame
Really like the sturdiness of these 3 Rockler bases which I used to create 10' long quilting frame for my longarm quilting machine. The picture did not come out very good, because the frame is in a small space (takes up about half the room), and the frame is still a work in progress as I am waiting on some other pieces for it on order. Have put it through its paces with movement up and down the tracks, so I'm pleased there's no vibration and really liked the ease of adjusting the legs for level which is critical for my intended use.

I’ve purchased several stands from Rockler in the past and find them to be very well made, the fit and finish is very nice and ease of assembly makes it an easy choice for me. If and when I need another stand in the future you can rest assured it will be a Rockler product.

This is a superb quality shop stand. I purchased one for my band saw at regular price; couldn't pass up buying a second one at sale price.

how much weight can this stand safely hold?
Ryan S on Apr 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm using it to support the tracking work table that weighs about 40 or so pounds. Whatever goes on it would need to be balanced. The legs are very sturdy but a brace across the top might be necessary since it is open

BEST ANSWER: You might have to drill holes in the legs for these. I've used the casters with the threaded studs that mount to the bottom of each leg.
These are the ones that I've used on 7 stands.

Is this stand suitable for mounting a top and then a drill press or a band saw or chop saw??? Please advise.
hugh d on Dec 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would not hesitate to do so. Currently I have a Shark CNC mounted on mine, and with casters on the legs. You could probably mount both, one on each end. While you could use it for a chop saw, I would not, as I cross cut longer boards and prefer a collapsible, mobile stand with extendable rollers.
Please, the cost of the Steel Shop Stand/ Mini Lathe Station with out any cabinets of drawer????? Just the steel parts- 28"high, 18 inches deep and 36 inches long. 2
Robert P on Jul 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't remember the cost, but it is a fantastic addition to my workshop. I found it worth the cost! Be sure and purchase the lockable caster for it. It's a lot more versatile being able to move it around.
Can the bottom stretchers be installed upside down so the horizontal surface is on the bottom?
Alan C on Apr 27, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hey Alan, this is Keith. I own the stand you are asking about. I made it into a mobile work bench. Works great. To answer your question you should be able to turn the supports upside down and mount them. The way the bolts are configured they should line up exactly the same. The problem I see is that you won't be able to put much on it due to the bolts/nuts now sticking out in the corners. Hope that helps.
Would this safely support a DeWalt 7491 table saw?
William L on Feb 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: No problem. I put a 1950s drill press on mine. It took two people to pick it and put it on.
Can I attach locking swivel casters to Rockler 24'' x 36'' Shop Stand, Item #: 48089? Which casters?
Chuck S on Apr 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I did install the Rockler swivel casters on my shop stand on which I installed a router table. They installed easily and function nicely. The only negative is that I need to roll the stand to the most level area of my shop for all four wheels to contact the floor to prevent the stand from rocking.
How well do think it would hold up outside with some limited exposure to the elements? Temperate climate. So. Calif.
Noble K on Jan 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It will be fine in So Cal. I have one that I take outside to use the sanding station I put on it, and while I don't leave it in the rain the humidity in north Florida is legendary. I have had one, along with several of the smaller Rockler stands for years and they hold up wonderfully.
Are drawers available for this or similar rockler stands?
Alias on May 17, 2020
BEST ANSWER: There are no ready made draws that I know of. You would need to construct your own. These ready made draw sides may help.

Does anyone know the thread size of screws for the leveling feet? I am repurposing them for another use and need to buy T-nuts for installation in wood legs. I know I could go to the home center and use their measuring samples, but with social distancing, this isn't important enough for the trip.
