Rockler Finishing Sprayer with Spare Paint Cup and Lid

Designed with simplicity and versatility in mind, the Rockler Finishing Sprayer is ideal for anyone wanting a smooth, professional-quality finish in very little time. The sprayer is capable of applying anything from lacquer finishes, varnishes and urethanes to unthinned latex paints. Thanks to Earlex high-volume, low-pressure technology (HVLP), overspray is kept to a minimum. The spray pattern is adjustable from 1'' to 12'' wide so you can tailor the output to your needs, while the 13' flexible hose provides enough length so you can move around your project. The 1 qt. paint cup provides plenty of capacity without excessive weight and an extra cup and lid are included so you cap your finish and store it. 1.5mm and 2.5mm needles are included, along with complete instructions for operation and cleaning.

Sprays a wide variety of finishes, including:

  • Varnishes
  • Lacquers
  • Urethanes
  • Latex
  • Enamels
  • Deck stains
  • Water sealants
  • Wood treatments

Spare cup and lid let you store finish in the same container you sprayed it from!

Package includes a Spare Paint Cup that reduces the hassle of transferring finish back and forth from can to cup, and then having to clean the cup afterwards. Instead, just unscrew the cup containing your most recent finish, cap it, and screw on the Spare Paint Cup containing your next finish, or a cleaning solution. With a separate cup for each of your finishes, you'll simplify storage, save time, effort, and reduce the risk of contaminating your finish. Screw-on lid ensures a tight seal during storage. Graduated container has metric and imperial scales up to 1 quart or 1 liter.

sprayer
works great. sprays straight latex. For a nicer finish, thin it a little. I love how even it sprays.

Great Product
Purchased this item to spray build in beds after installation.
I was thoroughly amazed at the small amount of over-spray and misting out of paint. The finish was absolutely like glass

Great Tool
This is my first paint sprayer beyond a rattle can. I was looking to up my finish and painting game. Instructions were clear and setup was quick. My first run was a success with an even stray pattern and very little overspray. Like with anything the more practice the better it goes. Clean up is pretty easy too. One downside is the noise - this sucker is loud, might be louder than my shop vac. So I would recommend hearing protection. The exhaust fan is also pretty strong, so if you use it in your shop beware of any dust it might kick up. Other than those minor items, works as advertised and it a great entry level HVLP setup.

Great addition to the shop.
I like it! I need more practice with it on maybe a smaller project, did a king sized headboard in my small shop. Very easy to clean. I have not received my second cup,on back order.

Works great
Works just like advertised and easy to clean up. The only negative is the noise level. It’s very loud, and as a tinnitus sufferer, high pitched noises are particularly bothersome. I wear hearing protection but it is still loud.

Good Product - Easy to use
We are pleased with our Rockler Finishing Sprayer! Used it on a Kitchen upgrade project to paint cabinet doors and it gave a professional finish and was easy to use. Clean up was a breeze as the sprayer came apart easily allowing all parts to be cleaned. Only drawback I see is tool to remove nozzle is plastic and I'm sure will be the first thing to break.

Sprayer problem product won't stop spraying
After using the sprayer and testing the output I am finding that the product spraying does not stop when the trigger is released.
I find this unusual that the air supply continues to also even though the trigger is released. I realize the thumb wheel on the back of the gun prohibits the travel of the sprayer trigger ( its what delivers the flow of material). when the handle is released the product being prayed should stop. Read the setup twice, tried removing the sprayer tip, can't get that thing out with the plastic tool. Not happy with this at all.

Have a large 4 stage spayer; too big and bulky for small projects. Hand application for stain and finish on trim takes a lot of time; a sprayer is so much quicker! Time is $$.

Helped my dad pick this sprayer out a few months ago. He's had nothing but success with it. I am now wanting to upgrade the one I have, and knowing how great the finished products are with the Rockler sprayer, it was a no brainer! Thanks for a great, easy-to-use product that simplifies our projects.

Robert H on Oct 15, 2017
Does it include the turbine air supply? Picture shows one, but nothing in description states it.
WR L on Oct 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: yes.. Turbine: 700W; 2-stage
Does the turbine's air output get warmer and warmer as it runs?
Larry R on Oct 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have an older model and it does get warmer but the temp stabilizes and I use it to accelerate thinner finished drying time.
will it spray unthined latex?

Can be use to oil paints?.
Jose E M on Feb 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have not used it with oil-based paints but their website says it can be used with enamels so I would guess that you can.
Can it spray polyurethane like Polycrilic?
R I on Feb 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can. Comes with 2 different size needles.
Is there a on and off switch or does it come on when you plug it in ?
Kevon M on Jan 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes there is a on/off switch on the back of the machine.
are the spray tips or needles plastic or stainless ?
PAUL S on Feb 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: they are metal (not 100% sure stainless, not around me right now). Don't have issues with paint sticking to them after cleaning. Everything else around the tips are plastic.
Will it spray Annie Sloan Chalk Paint?
Kenny on Jul 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Specifically, I do not know. The sprayer does okay with thinner liquids. I have used it almost on a weekly basis for both various stains and Varathane finish (oil based and water), I have to thin the finish or the nozzle continuously gets clogged, I have all the nozzles, they all clog, (design flaw at the tip I believe). If that specific chalk paint is thick and your gonna use it a lot, I would steer away from this unit. I am not impressed by this unit and believe that rocker fell short with this one. Good luck with any and all your projects!
