Rockler Pattern Flush Trim Router Bits - 1/2" Shank

Item #
GRP19519
Rating:
92% of 100
The bearing guides on our Pattern Flush Trim Bits are located on the shank side of the blade, and have the same diameter as the blade, making them the perfect choice for template work when the template is fastened on the top side of the material (if using a hand-held router in the conventional way). This allows for improved visibility when template routing.

Good quality, a bargain money well spent.
I received the bit in an appropriate amount of time, the shipping was free. I have used the bit along with my home made patterns and am very happy with the results. Thank you Rockler for quality products we can count on.

Another Excellent Rockler Router Bit
I am very pleased with the quality of Rockler's router bits. I used the pattern bit to shape the edges of furniture components that were nearly 1-3/4" thick and this bit did the job in one pass, leaving a very smooth surface.

GO Rockler
I really like Rockler router bits, these are the first bits I have used with the 1/2 inch shank, I'm hooked on them now, they cut like a hot knife through butter, and I haven't have to return one yet, but I be leave they are life time guaranteed, and I feel the price for these bits is just right, and the convenience of the store locations works for me.

does what it's supposed to do
I needed to use a bit to smooth the edge of a bench top made of two pieces of wood glued together. When I was done the edge was like one piece of wood--perfect. This is a strong, sharp bit that worked very well for me.

Works great. I have the 3/4 dia x 1/2" shank. It's a bit long at times but that can be over come. I'm made a lot of grooves with.

It seems like every time I need to flush trim, my current bit is too short. I have to make one pass then raise the bit and make another. This new bit has a long enough cutting length to handle 1.75" stock.

How well do these work on plywood?
Larry on Sep 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These work as well as or better than others I have tried. Of course, plywood is not plywood is not plywood. They work better on 3/4" Baltic Birch than they do 1/2" S1S Pine. I'd buy them again, if that's any help.

Will hard wood glue damage the cutter for router bits?

BEST ANSWER: In my experience dry glue has no significant effect on carbide router bits. I don't think that the same applies to high speed steel bits.
