The core of the Rockler Router Table Fence is a precision 32'' aluminum extrusion that provides a laser-straight reference surface immune to fluctuations in humidity. Comfortable knobs make it easy to adjust the MDF fence faces for different bit sizes, and to adjust the entire fence back and forth and side to side. The top-mounted Universal T-track runs the full length of the fence, making it easy to add flip-down stops and other accessories. MDF fence faces are coated with melamine for smooth, friction-free routing, and also feature T-tracks for featherboards and stops. A transparent bit guard is included to keep your fingers safe. To add a dust port and featherboards, see our 4-Piece Router Table Accessory Kit (#56764, sold separately).

  • Extruded aluminum backer provides a stiff, straight backbone that won't shift with humidity changes
  • Comfortable knobs for easy, tool-free fence adjustments

Woodworking Experience:
Product = Great | Shipping = PATHETIC
The product itself is great. With all Rockler items, well made and easy to use. But the Rockler websiter won't allow for shopping and shipping to Canada. So you have to go to another website managed by UPS on behalf of a number of retailers, Rockler being one. It took Rockler 4 days to fill the order, and then UPS 6 days to go from Minnesota to Winnipeg, and then UPS turned the package over to Canada Post and they needed only 2 days to get it to me.
Why couldn't Rockler just use a "real" website for shopping and provide options for shipping, such as UPS Air, UPS Ground, USPS, etc. ? PATHETIC.

Great fence
This fence is the best I have ever used. I won’t name the manufacturer of my prior table but I will say the rockler fence is so superior that I can’t believe I didn’t upgrade years ago

Can you just purchase the router table fence face?
Jim N on May 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If you are referring to the sacrificial MDF pieces then yes. Our item # is 120580.They are sold as each, but it is better to buy two of them together. Call 800-376-7856 to order.
What is the narrowest width between t-track that you can have to mount this fence? The pictures show 2 sets of slots on the back side of the fence to mount to the table but I can't find any details about the min/max width. My table is 24" wide and the t-tracks are about 18" apart on center. Will the pre-cut slots allow for this narrow setup?
Mark M on Jul 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There are 2 sets of slots on this fence. The inner set has a range from about 19-1/2" to 24-1/4". There is plenty of room for you to drill a pair of holes 18" on centers to match your T-tracks.
I have had this fence for several years and it works great but over time the bit opening has gotten chewed up somewhat. I have looked but can’t find a replacement for the melamine MDF parts. Do you make a slotted MDF that woul work on this fence? `

what size is the aluminum angle? 3x3, or 2 1/2 x2 1/2?
Sidney G on Mar 21, 2016
I don't get it. Why is this twice the price of the Rockler 49298 fence when it looks like it has fewer accessories built on (and the same basic description)? What is the 58215 offering that's not on the 49298?

BEST ANSWER: The Router fence is taller(by about an inch?) and wider(32" vs 24"), also the center above the bit is connected compared to the drill press fence.

Michael M on May 16, 2020

Can this be used with a kreg stop on it?

Can the slots in back take 5/16 bolts?
Michael M on Jan 6, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but unless the T-slots have worn out (which happened to me), using the oval T-bolts will be easier. The head of the 5/16' bolt is hexagonal, so it could rotate and grab against the slot. If the T-slot wear results in your not being able to tighten the nut against it, use the bolt with a washer between it and the bottom of the table. You will then need a wrench to hold the head when tightening The table of the Rockler router table seems to be MDF. I have found that the T-slot will not reliably old the fence in place while pushing against it. That would probably ruin your work piece. After tightening the fence where I want it, I reinforce its position by using 4-inch C-clamps (with the handle part under the table) securing the aluminum bracket to the table top. That way, the fence doesn't move at all.
Is the base actually perpendicular to the face? Is it truly 90 degrees, or do I need to shim it to make it accurate?
Raybosailor on Feb 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Using a Stanley 8" try square, I found the base to fence angle to be nearly a perfect 90 degrees. Unlikely that shimming would be necessary unless an extreme precision angle was required.
Will this fence work on a table that is 24" long?
Matthew K on Mar 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It should. I have the 32" router table with it looks the same as the one in the pix and there are wide slots to be able to adjust left to right. You can go to the store they have them on display you could measure the slot to see if it works for you. Good Luck, hope it works for you!
Is it possible to offset the outfeed side of the fence to perform jointing operations?
Anon A on Feb 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: As the fence is one extruded piece, you would need to "shim" the left side sliding fence. Rockier use to make a shim kit for the router fence.
You can use a sheet of paper, or veneer strips to move the fence out.
What is the distance (height) between the T-track on the front to the surface of the router table?
