Improved Version
I bought the smaller Rockler Wall Dust Collector but as my small shop grew I found it was inadequate. I was hesitant to order this new version but am glad I did. It is able to keep up with everything I do at a reasonable price

A Step Up
I originally had a smaller 537 CFM model. It was fine, but not really powerful enough for my whole shop. I had to run the 4" Dust Right flex hose too far on some occasions, so it just wasn't able to pull all the debris I had hoped. Then I saw this Dust Right 1250 CFM monster. Yeah. Well over twice the juice. When it arrived, I was shocked at how much larger it was compared to it's little brother. I definitely had to beef up the support bracket. Once that was done, I lifted it and placed it on its lag bolts. I didn't have anyone to help me, so I lifted it alone. I would not recommend that to anyone else, because you could hurt yourself. But I'm a big guy, and it was no problem for me. I also got the 1 micron pleated filter, and I have a Jet room filter that recycles the shop air about 15 times an hour. When I fired the Dust Right collector up, I was amazed how well it worked with all my tools, no matter how far away. Table saw (top and bottom feed), planer, jointer, router table (fence and insert bucket feed), chop saw. It was impressive - practically no dust escapes this bad boy. Your mileage may vary, but I'll bet not by much. I'll admit, I'm a fanatic when it comes to dust collection, and this 1250 CFM collector works for me.

Capable Dust Collector
I purchased this to replace an old Delta 650 cfm dust collector with a failing bearing. It is significantly more powerful than the old dust collector and has plenty of power to handle my jointer and planer located 20' across the shop. The size gave me space to put a small cyclone in front of this so almost no dust is getting to the bag. It seems like the bag on this will be easier to remove and put back on than the old Delta was but it would have been nice if they had included a keyed clamp instead of the screw type for the bag. Also, this doesn't appear to be compatible with the iVac system because of the secondary switch/remote. I suspected that would be the case and it's not a big deal since it comes with its own remote but it's something to note for those who use the iVac.

Great high CFM, small footprint dust collector
I'd been waiting a while looking for "just the right dust collector" and I'm glad I did because I found this. Mounted it up on the wall, added a pre-impeller cyclone (DIY) separator and I love the set up. The included power remote control is also super useful.

I chose the 1250 CFM model because I wanted the most suction for a tight budget.

I am really hoping this is as good as people said the smaller one was but with a lot more air movement! Maybe I should do a video review of this after using it a while.

How are u pushing (or sucking I guess) 1250 CFM from a *1-1/2HP* dust collector motor?
Bort on Aug 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This is certainly achievable. Depends on RPM, displacement, motor efficiency, etc.
I am limited on vertical space. Can this be floor mounted?
Ron D on Jul 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I called the manufacture and told them I was going to mount the device on a rolling platform horizontal to the ground and they said that's fine. I don't have any issues using mine horizontal to the ground on a mobile base. The documentation that came with the device didn't indicate which position was optimal or even allowed. There are many videos on the net that show people mounting these horizontal to the ground.
Is the motor on this 1250cfm model convertible to 220 volt?
MIKE K on Aug 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Short answer. NO. the circuitry that handles the remote would have to be modified. I got a 2000w step down transformer and that works.
Has anyone tested the real life CFM on this yet?

Can this unit be used with a Dust Deputy?
Willie G on Sep 27, 2019
Is there a fan curve graph that can be provided? Similar to another question that was asked, I am curious what happens to the CFM as the static pressure increases?

Can you install the Dust Right Canister Filter for Rockler 650 CFM Wall Mount Dust Collector on the 1260 version? I was thinking about upgrading, but I don't want to have to purchase a brand new filter as well.

Is it a 110 volt plug in normal outlet?
Larry on Sep 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes
Any idea on the duty cycle of this? I'm thinking of using it with my CNC's which, on occasion, would require it to 4+ hours continuous.

Can this unit be connected to ductwork for more permanent dust collection?
Phil A on Sep 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: yes
Does this have a 6" inlet or is it the Same as the 650cfm model?
Chad L on Aug 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The 1250 CFM Dust Collector utilizes a 6" inlet and includes a splitter to provide two 4" inlets.
Is the Dust Right 1250 noise level comparable to a ShopVac? Louder?
Steve S on Jan 13, 2020
BEST ANSWER: As a read-between-the-lines of the other answers would suggest, that depends on your shop vac. Some will be louder than others, depending on their power and other variables. The sound will almost certainly be *different*, because an induction motor turning a large impeller at 3450 rpm is going to produce a different frequency than a universal motor turning a much smaller impeller a couple times faster. In my opinion, the lower frequencies of a slower motor/impeller are easier on the ears--logically, but perhaps incorrectly--I'd reason that the further you move the pitch from that of a crying baby, the less sensitive your ears will be to it.
Does this unit come with any hoses, or do you have to buy those separately?
D M on Dec 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This is a great unit for the price, but does not include hoses.
Can this be mounted on block walls? All the instructions say are about wooden wall studs?
JOHN D on Nov 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I didn’t mount mine on a wood wall , where I wanted mine located there is no wall. I mounted mine between two roll up doors so i made a metal frame and mounted on that. As long as your mounting points are strong and don’t vibrate loose i cant see why you couldn’t mount it on a block wall
Is the remote infrared or rf in other words will it work through a wall?
Chad L on Feb 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It is RF and worked well at 15 ft with a "wall" of filled shelf units in between.
How large will this unit accept wood chips without damaging or stalling the unit?
Gary V on Mar 15, 2020
BEST ANSWER: There is a grid at the inlet that limits chips to roughly 1.75 x 2 inches. The blades in the squirrel cage unit look like they would handle that size without problems. As usual, it is worth having or making a centrifugal-type sorter to collect the big stuff before it gets to this unit.
How is this motor 2x the HP of the 650cfm model yet the same amperage (12)?
Mark O on Jan 26, 2020
BEST ANSWER: bigger motor and bigger fan love the remote start
Can this unit be used with a DeWalt DW735 planer?
MATTHEW Z on Dec 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Matt - I use the planer with this dust right unit and it works great. Highly recommend.
Will my existing 650cfm dust canister fit onto 1250 outlet?
Marc C on Sep 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The output ports of these two are identical, so it should fit.
The vac comes with a remote. Is there a product line of others switches, such as remote gate switches that are compatible with the controls in this vac?
David A. T on Aug 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not at this time
