Watermelon through a Garden Hose!
I have been using a different brand dust collector with this same basic design but significantly less volume. It couldn’t handle the job so I decided to upgrade. I’m very pleased with the upgrade, a big improvement. One thing I’ll say is that it’s allot bigger than I had imagined. Due to the size I had to change the mounting location. Ultimately that’s not a big concern. It’s out of the way and does a great job.

I built a room in my garage that has my delta system in it. It pretty much blocks the whole room. Having this wall mounted will be so beneficial. The 1250 cfm’s will be awesome. Plus the reviews are spot on. Been looking at this system for over a year.

Charles Rhinard R on Apr 18, 2020
Smaller footprint, portability coupled with power and availability. At first the price almost dissuaded from purchase, but no option for a wall mountable and power was readily available without more DIY than I as a beginner, was willing to deal.

How are u pushing (or sucking I guess) 1250 CFM from a *1-1/2HP* dust collector motor?
Bort on Aug 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This is certainly achievable. Depends on RPM, displacement, motor efficiency, etc.
I am limited on vertical space. Can this be floor mounted?
Ron D on Jul 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I called the manufacture and told them I was going to mount the device on a rolling platform horizontal to the ground and they said that's fine. I don't have any issues using mine horizontal to the ground on a mobile base. The documentation that came with the device didn't indicate which position was optimal or even allowed. There are many videos on the net that show people mounting these horizontal to the ground.
Has anyone tested the real life CFM on this yet?
Dan M on Sep 20, 2019
Can this unit be used with a Dust Deputy?
Willie G on Sep 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes I have a 5 inch dust deputy on mine
Is the motor on this 1250cfm model convertible to 220 volt?
MIKE K on Aug 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Short answer. NO. the circuitry that handles the remote would have to be modified. I got a 2000w step down transformer and that works.
Is there a fan curve graph that can be provided? Similar to another question that was asked, I am curious what happens to the CFM as the static pressure increases?

Does this have a 6" inlet or is it the Same as the 650cfm model?
Chad L on Aug 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The 1250 CFM Dust Collector utilizes a 6" inlet and includes a splitter to provide two 4" inlets.
How is this motor 2x the HP of the 650cfm model yet the same amperage (12)?
Mark O on Jan 26, 2020
BEST ANSWER: bigger motor and bigger fan love the remote start
Will my existing 650cfm dust canister fit onto 1250 outlet?
Marc C on Sep 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The output ports of these two are identical, so it should fit.
The vac comes with a remote. Is there a product line of others switches, such as remote gate switches that are compatible with the controls in this vac?
David A. T on Aug 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not at this time
I am going to order the Dust Right Wall-Mount Dust Collector, 1250 CFM along with the accessories that I know I need for my shop. My question: Does the (1) hardware pack listed in the "What's Included" section include the Z-Brackets to mount this unit to the wall or must that be purchased separately? Thank you.
Robert O on Mar 28, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The 1250 cfm version doesn’t use Z brackets. The main bracket bolts to the wall and a couple rubber “vibration-dampening shins” are provided to fit between the bracket and wall. The 650 cfm version uses a Z bracket.
Is the Dust Right 1250 noise level comparable to a ShopVac? Louder?
Steve S on Jan 13, 2020
BEST ANSWER: While I haven’t measured the sound level I can tell you that the 1250 is much much quieter than the shop vac setup that I was using.
How loud is it?
Sarah L on Apr 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Sarah, the unit is rated at 78 dB standing 3 ft away. for comparison normal conversation at 3-5 ft rates 60-70 dB and city traffic inside car 85 dB. That means it is relatively quiet, as you can see from your fellow woodworkers' answers.

how long is the power cord?
richard j on May 13, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I measure the cord on our display unit at the store and it was 11 feet long.
Does this unit come with any hoses, or do you have to buy those separately?
D M on Dec 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This is a great unit for the price, but does not include hoses.
Can this be mounted on block walls? All the instructions say are about wooden wall studs?
JOHN D on Nov 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I didn’t mount mine on a wood wall , where I wanted mine located there is no wall. I mounted mine between two roll up doors so i made a metal frame and mounted on that. As long as your mounting points are strong and don’t vibrate loose i cant see why you couldn’t mount it on a block wall
Is there a way to mount it or modify it to have the suction port face to the right?
Josh E on May 22, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It is only available with the motor on the right. It can however be mounted horizontally as well as vertically.
I would like to use this in conjunction with a Super Dust Deputy. Could this be mounted horizontally and connected directly to the outlet of a Super dust deputy?
Jim W on Apr 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I'm not familiar with the Super Dust Deputy Cyclone. I did a YouTube search on the Super Dust Deputy and found a video doing what you are suggesting (refer to YouTube).
I suppose if you do what the guy in the video did and used a canister (more expensive attachment) instead of the bag (buy the 5 micron bag) it would be possible, however, I find the Dust Right elbow handle provides plenty of suction. Therefore, I personally would mount the Dust Right per the instructions and use their attachments...if you mount it on the wall just a bit higher than the Super Dust Deputy, I believe it would work....realize, this is only my opinion from watching the video. The Dust Right 1250 CFM with a 28 foot hose provides enough suction and reaches everywhere in my shop....and I am satisfied with it.
Is the remote infrared or rf in other words will it work through a wall?
Chad L on Feb 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It is RF and worked well at 15 ft with a "wall" of filled shelf units in between.
I am looking at the 1250 unit and was thinking of using a super dust deputy for chip collection and removing the bag entirely and piping the output to outside my house. Has anyone done something similar or would there be any problems with not using a bag. I would think it would allow for more air flow due to less restrictions and with the super dust deputy, their shouldn't be hardly any thing left. Thoughts?
Dennis F on May 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Do NOT use without dust bag mounted in place.
Can this be mounted horizontally on the ceiling?
Ben V on Apr 24, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I would not recommend this unless you find a way to get the bag to hang down.
can you use this unit for new basement under house for the downstairs vacumn ?
rick m on Apr 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure i understand the question fully, however, if you mean to use it for floors do not use the 4” hose it is very bulky and hard to use. I would still use that vacuum but with the 2 or 2.5 inch hose. As for my shop it is wonderful, but i need help connecting the quick dicconnect to my 4” PVC piping.
How large will this unit accept wood chips without damaging or stalling the unit?
Gary V on Mar 15, 2020
BEST ANSWER: There is a grid at the inlet that limits chips to roughly 1.75 x 2 inches. The blades in the squirrel cage unit look like they would handle that size without problems. As usual, it is worth having or making a centrifugal-type sorter to collect the big stuff before it gets to this unit.
Can these clog up since they don’t have filters on them? I know they sell a filter but since that isn’t mandatory I’m curious if this ever could clog on its own?
Samwan on May 31, 2020
BEST ANSWER: No, they will not clog up. The container bag also acts as the air exhaust filter. I would suggest emptying the bag when approx. half to three quarters full to maintain the efficiency of the dust collector. The dust collector comes standard with a 30 micron bag. If you need finer air filtration you can always add the Optional Canister Filter which filters down to 1 micron at a later date.
Where is this Dust Collector unit made?
Vijay G on May 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It is made in Taiwan.
