Built for precision and ease-of-use, the SawStop Router Lift features a heavy-duty four-post lifting system that's chain-synchronized for smooth, even lifting. It also features a positive lock mechanism to prevent downward creep. Both the elevation and locking mechanisms are controlled from above the table, so you don't have to stoop to make adjustments. The adaptive router clamp and included reducer collars accept router motors from 3-1/4'' to 4-1/4'' in diameter. 9-1/4'' x 11-3/4'' router plate fits perfectly into all SawStop Router Tables.

The porter cable 7518 does fit
Willem Is incorrect about fitting the porter cable 7518. In fact if you go to the Sawstop website and look under faq it says that the most commonly used router for the lift is in fact the Porter cable 7518

Does NOT fit larger routers
After purchasing, you find the lift's manual states max router diameter of 4.2", which conflicts with SawStop and Rockler websites stating max diameter of 4.25". My PorterCable 7518 router with diameter of 4.20" does NOT fit in the clamp. Called SawStop to see if I was doing anything wrong or there were other actions to take; SawStop service reps response was to not use a router greater than 1 to 1-1/2 HP or 3.5" in diameter.
