Although not a true rosewood, sirari is a dense hardwood with much of the beauty of rosewood, including straight grain and a medium-fine uniform texture. Its warm orange color is interspersed with pinks and browns, and tends to darken over time. Sirari is extremely strong and turns well with sharp tools. Takes a high polish. Also known as Tiete Rosewood.
