Summit Pen and Pencil
Having turned many many Slimline, Flat Top/ Plateau Bullet and ElGrande pens I wanted something a little different something that was not a cylinder. I did my first i acrylic, The pencil came out better than the pen. I turn acrylic on a Unimat 3 like it was metal using a cutting bit not chisels so cutting the tenon is no issue for me.

Summit Pen
I am making 20 of these as a gifts for the people that I work with. The directions are pretty straight forward. The only issue that I needed to over come was trying to make 20 of these and the amount of time to cut a tenon for each. To make this process quicker I took a 13/32 (10.3 mm) open end wrench and sharpened the lower portion. When using it to cut the tenon when it was the proper size the open end of the wrench would slip onto the tenon. I also added a celtic knot to the upper portion of each.

Beautiful pen. Need to be careful with the 13mm step area. But worth the trouble.

Titanium will not wear like inexpensive gold plating. Never see metal turn to silver

The Summit Pens are one of the more elegant looking pens and the price is right. The do require a little more finicky detail work than some of the others but I am pleased with the ohs and ahs that I receive.
