They are awesome! One of the legs came damaged and the lady, who's name I've forgotten unfortunately, was absolutely delightful to deal with. Had me out a replacement in no time and I was able to to turn some nice pepper mills from these table leg blanks. Always a pleasure doing business with Rockler.

Cut them to 12" long and made pepper mills for presents. They worked just fine, no problems with the wood. The turner on the other hand................ is glad Christmas is done!

Cherry table leg blank.
I always look for other useful ideas from blanks made up for something else. Solid Cherry is beautiful and when it is squared up for you the only thing left to do is cut to length and turn on a lathe. I turned the blank into a set of 4 goblets. Great wood to work with and finishes just perfect.
Finished with Salad bowl Finish from General Finish. Non toxic and food safe.
Cherry goblet is 8" tall and 3" round and holds 15 oz.
Cut from a 3" X 3" X 36" solid cherry table leg blank from Rockler. The leg made a set of 4.

Excellant product, more than met my expectations.
Very nice product. I needed a 3" × 2.75" piece 72" long for my bench dogs on a new workbench I was building. The 4 pieces that I received were well packed, arrived on time, and were everything they said & more. Very slightly oversize, I was able to be really fussy with my work & cut them down to the size I exactly wanted on the saw & jointer. Two end to end worked for the 72" I needed. I will certainly buy again.
Waiting glue up. Perfect strong bench dogs in Maple
Just need to glue up. Benchdog holes in Maple. I will order more for lathe turning !

Is the,wood kiln dried?
Henry on Apr 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: As far as I know, the wood is kiln-dried. I turned two bats out of it and they seem to be stable.
are this blanks coated in wax?
John f on Nov 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I am pretty sure we were turning these for baseball bats so we were not concerned about that.
I need these as 3 inch square legs for a vanity, are they in good shape to just sand and paint?
Or are they pretty rough?
Ryan M on Apr 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They need a minimal amount of work to be perfect. If you only have a good hand square & decent carpenters big square, with a sander well used, you should be able to use these. These are heavy duty with beautiful grain & will finish nicely.
Are these blanks really 3x3 or are they 2.5x2.5?
Rex R on Aug 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: As I recall they were 2 ¾" x 2 ¾". I wanted legs that were 2 ¼" x 2 ¼" so I cut them down.
Is it a hard or soft maple?
Evan h on Sep 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It's dense, hard maplewood. I didn't use it for turning, but for angled legs. It was a challenge to cut without some burning.
Are they solid or laminated?
Hansen L on Dec 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Solid wood
