Woodworking Tape, 1" x 50'

Effortlessly adhere templates and drawer fronts with this innovative new double-sided tape.

Woodworking Tape is a thin double-sided tape with one permanent side and one reusable side. This allows you to use the tape over and over again with a single template to rout out multiple identical parts. Simply tear off as many pieces as you need (no scissors required) and adhere the permanent side to your template. The temporary side adheres to your workpiece, providing enough lateral strength to hold the parts together for routing, but still allowing you to easily separate them. Woodworking Tape leaves no residue on your workpiece, minimizing cleanup sanding. It's also ideal for positioning drawer fronts temporarily before securing them with screws. With Woodworking Tape, the hassles of carpet tape are a thing of the past.

  • Use for templates, jigs, pattern routing and assembly
  • Easily tears by hand - no scissors required
  • Easily repositioned; holds laterally but still allows parts to be separated with little effort
  • Leaves little to no residue
  • Convenient plastic liner makes the tape easy to apply
  • Not for use on the lathe

How do you rate tape, it sticks, held what I wanted it to hold, router guide. Would buy again. The release side needed very little cleanup.

Woodworking Experience:
Template Tape
I've been buying double sided tape for awhile, looking for one that works for template use on the router. Well this is the best so far. I won't be looking anymore, I'll just buy a few more for the shelf so I don't run out.

Double-sided tape
This tape performed better than expected. I used it to hold template guide blocks during a routing process. It held great and the nice thing is that the outside peels off easily. Once the one-time use was complete it was fairly easy to remove. I will definitely order it again.

Works great
I got this to attache a box of electronics to a project board. I had my reservations, but it has been holding fast. If I need to remove the box I can, but to this point it has held fast and not detached on its own.

I have four blanks I need to sandwich together for sanding and finish work. The tape I've been using released causing damage and near injury while using with a template. Will the double sided woodworking tape be reliable? What is required to remove any residue from my project?
oldwoody on Jun 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This was my application. I made paper patterns and taped them to MDF. Tape worked well for this. After I finished the MDF template I taped the template to Oak and used the bandsaw and router to finish the shaping. I would rate the holding power as excellent. Be careful if your using thin material that you don't break a piece when separating. I do not notice any residue after I remove the tape. If you do notice some I would say a light sanding or denatured alcohol would remove it.
