Works well for storing router bits.
A bit over priced but it does the job.

Very handy
I've used a block of wood with holes drilled in it for decades to hold my router bits. It never worked out all that well. I am very satisfied with this rack because it holds my bits securely and I don't have to wrestle them to get them out of the holder.

I thought at first that the rack wouldn't hold the bits securely, but it has worked fine. I just wish the holes were spaced a little farther apart.

This product is very well made,...
This product is very well made, utilatarian and durable. I mounted mine to a sheet of pegboard alongside other frequently used tools near my router table. I am considering buying a second router bit storage rack to mount on my second router table. Having both 1/4" and 1/2" bit capabilities is great since I use both sizes with my routers.

Simple in design but excellent in fulfilling its purpose. I am quite satisfied.

Sturdy storage solution
About as simple of a design as it gets. Doesn't hold the bits too tightly so you run less risk of cutting yourself while pulling up. Good for most of your smaller non-specialized bits.

Poor design
The nice thing about this is that it is sized to bolt onto the base of a Rockler Router Table Stand.
The not-so-nice things are that the holes are too close together, meaning that a lot of holes are unable to be used as a router bit will cover the hole(s) next to the hole it is housed in.

Also, there is 2:1 ratio of spaces for 1/2" collet bits to 1/4" bits, so if you have more 1/4" collet bits, this is not for you.

ROCKLER:
You NEED to offer a rack that is 2:1 with there being twice the amount of 1/4" collet bits.
That way, a person can choose the option that will best support his collection of router bits! This seems like a no-brainer to me, but alas, I don't believe they have one that accommodates more 1/4" collet bits than 1/2" bits. Oh well.

Made a mistake on this choice.
This looked like it would be a helpful organizer at first blush. When I got it home I realized that all my router bits have 1/4" shanks. This shelf won't accomodate all my bits, and the 1/2" holes are useless for my need. Be sure to consider your need before buying this. I would like to return my purchase for something more appropriate.

Problem with bearings
My main problem with this product is that when you store your bits that have bearings on them, the bearings get covered in router dust, thus causing them to gum up. JB @ Wood Components, Inc.

Not what I expected
These are junk. The bits are not stable in the racks. No where near the quality of the ones I bought from Woodpeeckers. I have returned them even though with shipping and other charges I barely recover my costs

The hole spacing works well with very few holes left unused. Bits slip easily in and out of the holes, unlike some of the other storage options. The mounting holes are 16" on center so you can hit the studs if you wall mount it.

Mounted this to my Bench Dog ProStand router table stand. Had to drill holes to mount it. The Bench Dog ProStand is the same as a Rockler stand just without as many predrilled mount holes for other Rockler accessories such as this. Had to add the holes for this product to work. Really nice to have the tray there to hold commonly used bits. Glad I added it.

A very nice heavy duty steel rack to keep often used router bits close by for easy access. A heavy duty, very well made product from Rockler.
