These maple plywood panels offer excellent strength, dimensional stability, and screw holding ability. Ideal for projects where shrinking, warping, swelling, or splitting are a concern. All are high quality A2 grade precut plywood panels with both faces in maple. All panels measure 24"W x 48"L, and are available in 1/4" and 3/4" nominal thicknesses.

Features:
  • Excellent strength and dimensional stability
  • Ideal when you want to minimize shrinking, warping, swelling, or splitting
  • Cross bands are made of Lauan veneer
  • Great screw, nail, glue and staple holding ability on the face; mechanical fasteners do not hold as well on the butt edges and ends
  • Use for wall coverings, drawer sides and bottoms, and a wide variety of case goods such as desks, kitchen cabinets, fixtures, and fine furniture
  • Sanded first with a 120 grit belt and then following with a 150 grit belt which eliminates burnishing and preps the surface for finishing
  • There is an additional $10.00 shipping charge per piece for this item.

great veneer plywood
I bought 2 sheets. They have precise 3/4" thickness. quality maple veneer on both sides. Plywood core is solid and I have not found a single void in all of the cut edges I have exposed.
shipping caused minor damage to one corner and along one edge, but I easily worked around those spots.
Definitely would buy this again.

2’ x 4’ x 3/4” Maple plywood
The plywood was damaged in shipping, so a discount was offered. The plywood was also warped, which made it less desirable to use, but I managed to work around that.

Other than finding one end of the piece of plywood damaged it is a very good quality piece. I think it was placed into the shipping box already damaged because the shipping box was undamaged. If it weren't for this it would have received five stars from me.

I'm using it as the surface for a desk. I really enjoy the wood grain of Maple and using veneer is an affordable way of achieving that look.

Would this work for making a longboard? (A kind of skateboard)
Brody E on Dec 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It might but you are not going to be able to bend it into the shape you want. Usually boards are built up one ply at a time on a form.
Is this cabinet grade or project grade? I'm replacing the face of a cabinet that was damaged.

what is the actual thickness of 1/4" plywood?
A shopper on Aug 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Nominal and Actual Thickness
There are two different thickness definitions we need to keep in mind when talking about plywood; that of nominal thickness and actual thickness. Just like dimensional lumber, most plywood is rated at a nominal thickness; that is the thickness before it is sanded. The actual thickness is just like it sounds, the actual thickness of the plywood panels you buy, after sanding. Typically, the actual thickness of plywood is 1/32 inch less than the nominal thickness.
