Rockler CrossCut Sled Drop-Off Platform

Provides safe, splinter-free cuts.
Item #
37541
Rating:
90% of 100

Combined with our Crosscut Sled (#33113, sold separately), this platform will provide true zero-clearance support on both sides of the blade for safe, splinter-free cuts. By keeping drop-off pieces from sagging at the end of the cut, it prevents them from splitting off unpredictably, and from getting jammed in the throat plate. Easy to use - just slide it into the miter track and lock in place with a single screw.

Gotta have both
I though I didn't need the drop off platform but I ended up going back to get it. It really helps to hold to smaller pieces safetly away from the blade once their cut. Buy both and save youeself a trip to the store.

I bought the sled about five years ago without the drop off platform. After getting the drop off platform I wondered why I ever was without it. It is very handy and it really makes using the sled nicer. I plan on using both the sled and platform to make segmented bowls,

Rockler drop off sled
Modified sled and drop-off platform to fit DeWalt contractor saw. Moved miter slot bar and removed about 4" off of aluminum miter gage. Modification took about 40 minutes. This set up serves my needs well.

I cut some tenons using my cross cut sled and a dado blade, but noticed that the sled rocks a little bit depending on how hard I press on the section nearest the blade. That rocking results in tenons with variable thickness. How can I prevent this problem?
