Graphite paper transfers
Very helpful packaging which makes sizing and re-use very easy. The transfer is clear with no "vacant" spaces appearing on transferred image. Reasonably priced for quantity.

for tranfering --is carbon paper ok? or do I need special transfer paper
maria g. c on Mar 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Maria g. c. I have been using the transfer paper for the figures that I cut out of wood for over a couple of years and find it to be great. The transfer paper that Rockler sells sands out beautiful, where as the carbon paper tends to smug. I hope this helps and good luck with your projects. Regards Larry D.
How do I erase transfer paper smudges off wood? I have been using this type of transfer paper, and it seems to leave my wood smudgy and won't erase? Is it something I can sand out? Or is it the type of wood I am using?
Michelle on May 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't worry about it until after my final sand prior to staining. After the final sand I wipe the entire piece of wood with a clean rag soaked with acetone. This not only cleans the graphite off but helps raise the grain for better results with staining.
How do you use this?
Trenton S on Nov 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I put the GT paper (graphite side down) between the piece I am working on and the design/pattern I want to add to the piece. I use tape to secure it in place then trace the design with a pencil/scribe.
