This rule, like all the Incra marking rules and squares, are brilliant. This rule makes creating highly precise measurements and markings almost foolproof. These rules are especially useful when you need to make multiple, precise, identical markings on several pieces. I use this more than any of my other rules.
I have nearly all the INCRA measuring rules and as yet l HAVE NOT been disappointed with them and that includes this one, it is very accurate. I always INCRA so I know where I am cutting will be in the right place.
I absolutely love it! ! It has made my custom furniture evem better. Once i found a .05mm mechanical pencil (i use a Zebra) i was able to mark my cuts using the slots my incra prexision rule has. Precision is key to consistency and quality. Next on my list is the Incra TS precision fence.
I will admit that you do have to use these rulers with care as they are rather thin, but they will hold up to more one would first think. The 4 corners can be a bit sharp, so take care there too. With that being said, rulers like this are a great way to increase your level of accuracy down to 1/32".Instead of trying to use a regular pencil, finding that it needs to be sharpened once again or breaking the point off, I found that a 0.5mm mechanical pencil works great with the small slots for each of the 1/32" marks and is well worth the investment into one.I have the 6" unit and find that I use it all the time in laying out projects..
