Woodworking Experience:
I really like the dust collector and it works very well. The only disadvantage is the power cord isn't long enough.

A Nice Machine That Serves My Needs Well
This dust collector works fine if you are running just one machine at a time. The canister filter is a huge improvement over bags. It was hard for me to justify the price of the canister but soon forgotten when considering air quality in the shop. I had some shipping damage and got in touch with JPW by email. They stepped up and resolved it a 100% to my satisfaction, the mark of a quality company.

How does the 650 with canister compare with other makes with over 1000 cfm? What makes this model able to handle the same amount of equipment that other models imply? Most of my work is with small tools, like a scroll saw, sanders. I do use a table saw, planer, smal router, and band saw. I plan on using ball valve's on each port so that only one at a time is open.
Harland r on Feb 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you can afford the 1100 cfm and have the space go for it. The canister does a great job filtering. The 650 cfm just isn't going to keep up running multiple tools at the same time.
what is the canister rated at micron?
brian a on Feb 12, 2016

I cannot give you the specific rating for this, but we use this for collection of paint particles while sanding. It does do a good job at this task, but there is still dust that is not captured. The vacuum for this collector is not as strong as I would have hoped. I hope this helps.
Is the impeller Steel? Also can this machine be used a stationary machine with 6 machines hooked up, but with air flow shut off to all except the one I would be using. Tubing would be run to ceiling with drop downs for each and on most machines reduced to 1.5 hookup's. Only 3 would use 2.5 inch hookups.
Harland r on Feb 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The impeller is steel. I have mine hooked up to 5 machines with blast gates at each machine. It has plenty of suction to individual machines. I recommend staying with 4" tubing as long as possible only reducing to 1.5 or 2.5 right before connecting to the tool. This will maximize suction in the line.
what is it means by 115 volt?
Nikky C on Jan 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It works in 115v outlet, this is like your normal household outlet you have throughout your house. You should howerver, have this running on a dedicated 20 amp circuit.
