This halogen worklight is designed for use with the Laguna 1412 Band Saw (#44344, sold separately). It is fully adjustable and floods the table with bright, low-glare light for better visibility and safety. It features a separate on/off switch so it can be used while the saw is off. Durable construction with a ribbed aluminum case and reinforced glass.

After trying several "cheaper " routes to illuminating my workspace, I finally gave up and ponied up the money to get this dedicated unit. I couldn't be happier with my decision.

Nice accessory, recommended
This is not essential, but really adds to the effectiveness of the saw. The light is bright and illuminates the table and the outer part of the saw. Only problem is that the plug for the light is 115V and must be disabled if the motor is converted to 230V. I think a quick engineering solution would be to make the light an LED light, adding circuitry to allow operation on 115 or 230V.

Great Light, wish it were LED.
This is a quality built accessory like the 14/12 bandsaw. It plugs directly into the saw but can only be used if the saw is set up for 120 volts. If you convert motor to 240v the outlet for the light will no longer work. The focus point is generally good except if cutting very thin stock, then the blade supports cast a shadow. The light does get hot and even heats up the rotary handle that raises and lowers the blade supports. If this were an LED I'd give it 5 stars!

Works great. I used a different mounting method.
I mounted this light on a Laguna 14 SUV using 4 round 70lb neodymium magnets. The magnets are ~1" in diameter and have a counter sunk hole in the center that enables you to use the supplied 8-32 hardware to attach the light to the magnets.
This setup works great and allowed me to reuse the same light on different equipment. The 50W light is bright and floods the blade area. The 4 magnets make the mounting very strong (280lb pull) so you do not worry about the light moving while the saw is in use.
The price is a bit high but everything works well and looks good.

okay addition
I like that it matches up with the aesthetics of the saw, but would rather have an LED system so it doesn't heat up as much. Its not horrible, but being a halogen light, after a while it is noticeable that the exterior is hot and warm under the light.

Good light, bad angle
This is a great light and I use it all the time. However, I have to give it a low rating because the light does not extend out far enough and it blocked by the guide post and upper bearing guide of the saw. This blocks the light in front of the blade, which is where you need it most. I am going to try adding a one inch spacer block and longer screws so that the light will be in a better position. I think that would solve my issue.

Hard hat needed.
Light works well but I hit my head on the light. Position of ligt on saw not good.

Makes shadows, bangs my head
The light may be well designed, however in the position it is mounted, it throws shadows directly in front of the blade and is in the right position for me to bang my head on it.
