Great product. I wouldn’t even consider not including this with my new band saw.
This system easily mounted on the saw during initial assembly and it makes the saw a pleasure to move around my shop.

Great buy!
I bought the 14bx 220V, and assembled the mobile base before standing it up which made getting it in my garage much easier. I love it.

Mobility for Bandsaw
Could not use the saw without these wheels that were very easy to install during the assmbly of the bandsaw. Extra planning would be required to add later, but Laguna has a wothwhile video for that. I did bend the peddle arm when I tried to use the wheels from the side of the machine; they must be engaged from the front side of the machine. I would recommed wheels for small shop users.

A great accessory, recommended
Easy to install as one assembles the saw. It makes a great difference in making the saw mobile for me, as I can move it into sawing position in my little shop, then store it elsewhere.

Tool Mobility
My shop is very "space challenged" to the extent I must move all my tools around to place the one I am using into a proper position. The bandsaw mobile base is essential and works perfectly. When the castering wheel is raised the saw sits level and solid.

Laguna Mobility Kit
Bought the kit on Saturday and assembled it on Sunday. While the Laguna instructions recommended laying the saw flat, I had already assembled the saw and used it and was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get the saw vertical without getting someone to help me. I ended up tilting the saw and putting it up on blocks (4 x 4s) to get the wheels attached. The rear wheels were very easy to install as the screws go in from the back. The front wheel was more difficult as the mounting bracket attaches to the bottom of the stand and was not easy to see what I was doing. It took about an hour to get the wheels installed - one third to figure out how to do it, one third to get them anchored and one third to figure out how to lower the saw without it falling over. The rear wheels do not lock and the saw tended to want to roll away when I was lowering it.

The kit itself works really well and was very easy to adjust the front wheel after it was installed. I just raised the caster, loosened the bolts, reset the bracket and tightened the bolts after I adjusted the height. I guessed right and only had to adjust it once.

While the kit is a little expensive, in the little that I used it, it was very easy to move the saw around my shop. The shop is in the garage and there are some 1/2" control joints in the concrete floor. The first time that I crossed one of the joints I was going a little too fast and the front wheel almost retracted. The next time that I moved it I just slowed down to a more moderate speed and didn't have the same problem. I think that too slow would be a problem with the wheels catching in the joints.

Brett B on Jun 24, 2017
Even though this wheel kit seems very over-priced, the convenience of not having to waste valuable shop time fitting an aftermarket wheel kit seemed worth it. Rockler has the best price on it, so it seems that getting it while ordering the saw made sense.

Are the wheels easy to install even after the saw is fully set up? Or do you need to put nuts on bolts inside the base?
Russell L on Aug 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not as easy because you have to tilt the machine. I had my son balance it tilted back and braced it with a 4x4 underneath in case he dropped it on me. You do have to get to the inside of the stand to tighten the bolts down. It probably took us 30 minutes to complete.
How much height does the wheel system add to the saw?
bob s on Nov 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It doesn't change the height when stationary. When you lower the swivel caster (the one on the right side of the product picture) by stepping on the lever. it raises that side of the saw up an inch or so, which is enough to tilt the other side onto the fixed wheels.
Although I have worked with wood all my life, I have never owned or used a band saw. I am buying the Laguna 14/12. What is the best blade for this saw for general woodworking in a home wood shop? I may also saw some old lumber from barns, etc and some new white oak material from a local saw mill.
Danny J on May 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I recently purchased this saw. I ordered two blades, a fine tooth 1/4" for scroll work an than a 3/4" for general work such as re-sawing etc. I leave the 3/4" blade in most of the time and use the finer blade only for those projects that require fine detail work. I ordered Laguna blades. from Rockler.
Does it fit the Laguna 14BX 220V?
Graham B on Aug 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, no issues. As others have said it mounts on the opposite side. The angle bracket required for the 14twelve is not required for bx. The swivel assembly mounts directly to the body.
how are the mobile wheels installed on the laguna 1312 band saw
robert m on Mar 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I laid the band saw back on the packaging material (rigid foam) that came with the saw, and then bolted everything on. Had help laying the band saw down and then tilting it up onto the back wheels. Is this the question you asked?
