It's square and useable right out of the box. Easy to add an auxiliary fence (this one is sacrificial). I added a T-bolt and knob to a second non-sacrificial fence I made. Of course, you have to make the wood non-sacrificial fence with a t-bolt slot which is pretty simple. There are several different ways to make that slot. Several without using a t-bolt slot cutter on the router table.

New miter guage
I installed the gauge and I like it. I tried the 22.5deg position and it was nearly perfect. I think the very slight gap was a matter of some slight movement of the work piece. I have since then installed a 320 grit paper to the fence to prevent slippage.

Good upgrade to contractor table saw
The miter guide fits the slot on my contractor saw with little adjustment. Without the slight wiggle or flex of my old miter guage cuts seem exactly accurate. Fairly easy to mount a wooden sub-fence. I did have a little issue when I tried to loosen the screw for the washer at the end for the t-slot, it stripped pretty easily. Still I was able to make the adjustments to make the guide fit snugly in the slot and still slide freely. It does seem more accurate than the stock miter gauge that came with my contractor saw years ago. Decent upgrade that wasn't as expensive as other after market miter gauges.

Overall fine
Overall, the gauge is fine. Positives: I like the pullback and lock dial for adjusting the angle. The top handle is large. Was able to adjust the nylon screws to eliminate any slop in the track. Worked with my dewalt contractor saw (7480). Cons: comes with an installed washer and screw for use with a t track/slot. The screw is very soft and I immediately stripped the head trying to remove it and the washer. You have to remove the washer in order to use with a non t slot, otherwise it won’t fit. Because the screw was tightened to the point I wondered if it was welded in, I decided to just grind the sides of the washer down that we’re proud of the steel track. Worked perfectly after doing this, but subtracted a star for having to modify a brand new tool. Otherwise build quality was fine, except the soft screw head.

The width of the slot does not allow easy use in my miter slot. I haven't had time to check what the problem is!
Right now I cannot use it!!!!!!!

Response from Rockler
Thank you for your review. As you note, the Rockler Precision Miter Gauge does not fit all makes and types of saws. While the standard dimensions for table saw miter slots is 3/4" wide x 3/8" deep, some job site and contractor saws do not meet these specifications. Please feel free to contact Rockler Product Support at 800-260-9663 if we can provide additional assistance.

I purchased the Rockler miter gauge because of the spring loaded stops. I purchased an incra miter gauge not to long ago. Although it is accurate it's a bit of a pain to have to adjust it every time you want to use it.

what is the difference between this and the Incra Miter Gauge?
John W on Mar 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Overall, it is designed to be easy to use. Key differences include: Larger scale marking that are easy to read. Machined positive stops for the most commonly used angles. Easy to grip knobs for attaching sub-fence. Larger, more ergonomic handle for a secure grip. A hole to hang the bar on a pegboard when not in use.
Will this work on a jobsite saw like a Dewalt 745?
Tim B on Mar 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes, fits in the groove fine. Remove the pre-installed t track washer and adjust the nylon screws to eliminate any wiggle. Added a little wax and it glides nice with no slop.
What about setting it for an angle that is 1 or 2 degrees off from the common positive stops? It seems that that "wedged" shaped stop would fall into the notch and not allow say a 31 or 32 degree cut to be made. How does it lock for angles such as those?
P Z on Mar 28, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I had this concern too. Then I realized that you can pull the wedge back and tighten the knob so the wedge is not in the slot. Then you can adjust to what ever angle you want by loosening and tightening the handle.
Will this fit a sears craftsman table saw?
alan hutchison h on Mar 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If it has a standard 3/8 x 3/4 miter slot, yes it will
will this fit the Shopsmith table?
james k on Mar 26, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If the slot in the table is 3/8 x 3/4 it should fit. You may have to remove a washer at the end with the hang hole. You need 2 3/4" from the edge of the slot to the side of the blade, for 90 degree cuts, more for some angles.
