Solid construction and accurate right out of the box. I did not have to adjust the index mark. The slack adjuster screws in the miter bar are a plus, keeping the gauge parallel to my saw blade throughout the cutting process.

Woodworking Experience:
precision mier guage
I was surprised how fast I received my miter gauge and pleased with the quality. At first I had trouble sliding it in thetable saw slot as I have an older saw. The blue portion seemed to stick and woulld not let the gauge set flat. I TOOK SOME WAX PAPER and ran it in the channel a few times and that solved the problem.I Would recommend it for any woodworker. My saw is a Craftsman, purchased in 1980's and still going strong.

Rockler Precision Miter Gauge & Rockler Miter Gauge Fence
I am combining the two items for one review as I feel it is hard to have one without the other. Both are well made and very accurate out of the box! Both are inexpensive when comparing to other precision miter gauges and fences.

Nice Miter Guage
I own a dewalt DWE7491 table saw. The miter gauge that comes with the saw is low quality and needed to be replaced. I decided to buy Rockler's Precision miter gauge. I'm glad I did. So much better than original equipment. Love the adjustable nylon set screws that took care of slop. I did a small amount of set up to make sure the gauge was 90 degrees to the blade and after that the preset stops are spot on. I did compare this to other after market gauges and found this one to be as good if not better.

NIce Miter Gauge!
This gauge is way better than my stock unit that came with the saw. The detents are solid and the guide bar fits tightly in my saw top. A good buy!

Nice Addition to my table saw
Up until now I've been using a standard miter gauge on my Bosch 10" table saw. This guy is terrific with a more precise scale and the ability to add sub fences by either screws or slotted hardwood. Like it a lot.

Don't laugh....... I have 4 miter gauges, as well as Rockler's cutoff sled....... Hoping that the detentes are accurate. As a clockmaker, accuracy in angle cuts is critical, and there aren't many cheats available....... Rockler Blue is my favorite color as well

what is the difference between this and the Incra Miter Gauge?
John W on Mar 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Overall, it is designed to be easy to use. Key differences include: Larger scale marking that are easy to read. Machined positive stops for the most commonly used angles. Easy to grip knobs for attaching sub-fence. Larger, more ergonomic handle for a secure grip. A hole to hang the bar on a pegboard when not in use.
Will this work on a jobsite saw like a Dewalt 745?
Tim B on Mar 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes, fits in the groove fine. Remove the pre-installed t track washer and adjust the nylon screws to eliminate any wiggle. Added a little wax and it glides nice with no slop.
What about setting it for an angle that is 1 or 2 degrees off from the common positive stops? It seems that that "wedged" shaped stop would fall into the notch and not allow say a 31 or 32 degree cut to be made. How does it lock for angles such as those?
P Z on Mar 28, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I had this concern too. Then I realized that you can pull the wedge back and tighten the knob so the wedge is not in the slot. Then you can adjust to what ever angle you want by loosening and tightening the handle.

Will it fit Milwaukee 2736-21HD M18 FUEL 8-1/4" Table Saw?
Mark M on Apr 27, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It should fit any table saw with standard miter slots.
will this fit the Shopsmith table?
james k on Mar 26, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If the slot in the table is 3/8 x 3/4 it should fit. You may have to remove a washer at the end with the hang hole. You need 2 3/4" from the edge of the slot to the side of the blade, for 90 degree cuts, more for some angles.
Is the gauge adjustable for true 0 degrees? How is this fine adjustment accomplished?
Justin C on Apr 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: There is no fine adjustment for the zero position due to the positive stop at 0. If you find that yours is not set up correctly, I recommend returning and trying another one but should be set accurately to start.

BEST ANSWER: I talked to the Rockler design group and it is designed to fit the cross lap jig directly and you don't need to attach the small miter gauge fence. You attach the large fence directly to the miter gauge.
